Abstract
Struktur tengah merupakan bagian penting dari konstruksi bangunan yang terletak antara pondasi dan atap, mencakup elemen seperti kolom, balok, plat lantai, dinding, lift dan tangga. Fungsinya adalah menyalurkan beban dari struktur atas ke pondasi serta menjaga stabilitas dan kekuatan bangunan sehingga tidak mudah roboh atau bergeser. Elemen-elemen dalam struktur tengah juga berperan dalam pembagian ruang dan akses vertikal antar lantai. Struktur tengah memikul beban dari struktur atas dan meneruskannya ke pondasi. Struktur tengah sangat penting karena merupakan bagian yang menerima beban terbesar dari bangunan. Perencanaan dan pelaksanaan struktur tengah yang tepat akan memastikan keamanan dan kekuatan bangunan secara keseluruhan. Kesalahan dalam desain atau pelaksanaan struktur tengah dapat menyebabkan keretakan, penurunan, atau bahkan keruntuhan bangunan. Penulis mengamati,mempelajari dan ikut serta membantu proyek pembangunan melalui program kuliah praktik yang dilaksanakan kurang lebih selama 3 bulan. Kuliah praktik ini dilakukan pada proyek pembangunan Gedung Asrama Haji Provinsi Lampung oleh PT.Arafah Alam Sejahtera. Kerja praktik berfokus pada proses pengerjaan struktur tengah bangunan bertingkat. Dengan adanya kuliah praktik penulis bisa memenuhi syarat kelulusan akademik Universitas Lampung, menambah pengetahuan, membangun relasi kerja, mengimplementasikan ilmu perkuliahan dan melihat secara langusng penerapan proses struktur tengah. Kata kunci: struktur tengah, arsitektur, stabilitas bangunan,keruntuhan , keretakan, beban The middle structure is an essential part of a building's construction, located between the foundation and the roof. It includes structural elements such as columns, beams, floor slabs, walls, elevators, and staircases. Its primary function is to transfer loads from the upper structure to the foundation while maintaining the stability and strength of the building, preventing it from collapsing or shifting. The components of the middle structure also play an important role in space division and providing vertical access between floors.The middle structure carries loads from the upper structure and transfers them to the foundation. It is a critical component because it bears a significant portion of the building's total load. Proper planning and execution of the middle structure ensure the overall safety and structural integrity of the building. Errors in the design or construction of the middle structure may result in cracks, settlement, or even structural failure.The author observed, studied, and actively participated in the construction project through an internship program conducted for approximately three months. This internship was carried out at the Lampung Province Hajj Dormitory Building Construction Project, undertaken by PT Arafah Alam Sejahtera. The internship focused on the construction process of the middle structure of a multi-story building.Through this internship program, the author was able to fulfill the academic graduation requirements of University of Lampung, expand practical knowledge, build professional relationships, apply theoretical knowledge gained during university studies, and directly observe the implementation of middle-structure construction processes in the field.
