Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian dosis premix yang berbeda terhadap total leukosit dan diferensial leukosit pada sapi limousin dan simmental, serta membandingkan respons kedua bangsa sapi tersebut terhadap suplementasi premix dalam ransum. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan November–Desember 2025 di Kurnia Mandiri Farm, Way Bungur, Lampung Timur, dengan analisis sampel darah dilakukan di Laboratorium Pro Lab Veterinary, Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Materi penelitian menggunakan 18 ekor sapi jantan berumur 1–2 tahun yang terdiri atas 9 ekor sapi limousin dan 9 ekor sapi simmental. Penelitian menggunakan rancangan eksperimental dengan tiga perlakuan, yaitu P0 (ransum basal), P1 (ransum basal + premix 0,2%), dan P2 (ransum basal + premix 0,4%). Peubah yang diamati meliputi total leukosit serta diferensial leukosit yang terdiri atas neutrofil, eosinofil, basofil, limfosit, dan monosit. Pengambilan sampel darah dilakukan pada hari ke-28 setelah masa prelium dan diperiksa menggunakan hematology analyzer. Data yang diperoleh di analisis dan disajikan secara deskriptif kuantitatif dengan dibandingkan standar normal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian premix dengan dosis yang berbeda memengaruhi total leukosit dan diferensial leukosit pada sapi limousin dan simmental. Sapi simmental menunjukkan nilai leukosit yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan limousin, namun keduanya masih berada dalam kisaran normal. Suplementasi premix berperan dalam menjaga keseimbangan sistem imun ternak yang tercermin dari profil leukosit darah. Dengan demikian, pemberian premix dalam ransum dapat mendukung status kesehatan sapi potong, dengan respons yang dipengaruhi oleh perbedaan bangsa sapi. This study aims to determine the effect of different premix doses on total leukocytes and differential leukocytes in limousin and simmental cattle, as well as to compare the responses of these two cattle breeds to premix supplementation in the ration. The research was conducted from November to December 2025 at Kurnia Mandiri Farm, Way Bungur, East Lampung, with blood sample analysis performed at the Pro Lab Veterinary Laboratory, Special Region of Yogyakarta. The research materials consisted of 18 male cattle aged 1–2 years, comprising 9 limousin cattle and 9 simmental cattle. The study used an experimental design with three treatments: P0 (basal ration), P1 (basal ration + 0.2% premix), and P2 (basal ration + 0.4% premix). The observed variables included total leukocyte count and leukocyte differential counts consisting of neutrophils, eosinophils, basophils, lymphocytes, and monocytes. Blood samples were collected on day 28 after the prelium period and analyzed using a hematology analyzer. The obtained data were analyzed and presented descriptively in a quantitative manner by comparison with normal reference values. The results showed that supplementation of premix at different dosage levels affected total and differential leukocyte counts in Limousin and Simmental cattle. Simmental cattle exhibited higher leukocyte values compared to Limousin cattle; however, the values in both breeds remained within the normal physiological range. In conclusion, the inclusion of premix in the ration can support the health status of beef cattle, with immune responses influenced by breed differences.
