Abstract

Agroforestri merupakan sistem pemanfaatan lahan yang mengintegrasikan tanaman kehutanan dan pertanian dalam satu kesatuan ekosistem yang saling mendukung. Dalam sistem ini, tanaman MPTS (Multi Purpose Tree Species) berperan penting karena mampu menghasilkan berbagai produk kayu dan nonkayu serta menjaga fungsi ekologis hutan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis keanekaragaman, pemanfaatan, serta faktor penghambat budidaya tanaman MPTS di Gapoktanhut Serumpun Jaya, KPH Pesawaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan pendekatan campuran (mixed methods). Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui analisis vegetasi pada 36 plot dan wawancara dengan 36 responden. Analisis data kuantitatif meliputi Indeks Nilai Penting (INP), Indeks Keanekaragaman Shannon-Wiener (H’), Indeks Kekayaan Jenis Margalef (Dmg), dan Indeks Kemerataan (E), sedangkan data kualitatif dianalisis secara deskriptif serta menggunakan analisis SWOT. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 17 jenis tanaman MPTS yang dibudidayakan oleh petani dengan dominansi utama pada jenis durian (Durio zibethinus L.) dan Pala (Myristica fragrans Houtt.). Nilai indeks keanekaragaman (H’) sebesar 2,022, indeks kekayaan jenis (Dmg) sebesar 2,605, dan indeks kemerataan (E) sebesar 0,714 menunjukkan kemerataan tinggi. Pemanfaatan tanaman MPTS masih didominasi oleh konsumsi rumah tangga dan penjualan dalam bentuk produk segar, sehingga nilai tambah yang dihasilkan relatif rendah. Faktor penghambat utama meliputi keterbatasan akses pasar fluktuasi harga, keterbatasan modal, serta rendahnya kapasitas teknis petani. Dalam hal ini diperlukan peningkatan kapasitas petani, diversifikasi produk olahan, serta dukungan akses pasar dan kelembagaan untuk mengoptimalkan pemanfaatan tanaman MPTS secara berkelanjutan. In this system, MPTS (Multi-Purpose Tree Species) plants play an important role because they can produce various timber and non-timber products while maintaining the forest’s ecological functions of the forest. This study aimed to analyze the diversity, utilization, and inhibiting factors of MPTS cultivation in the Serumpun Jaya Forest Farmer Group Association (Gapoktanhut), KPH Pesawaran. The study employed a quantitative descriptive method as part of a mixed-methods approach. Data collection was conducted through vegetation analysis on 36 plots and interviews with 36 respondents. Quantitative data analysis included the Important Value Index (IVI), Shannon-Wiener Diversity Index (H’), Margalef Species Richness Index (Dmg), and Evenness Index (E), while qualitative data were analyzed descriptively and using SWOT analysis. The results showed that there were 17 species of MPTS cultivated by farmers, with dominant species including durian (Durio zibethinus L.) and nutmeg (Myristica fragrans Houtt.). The diversity index (H’) value of 2.022, species richness index (Dmg) value of 2.605, and evenness index (E) value of 0.714 indicated a high level of species distribution uniformity. The utilization of MPTS plants was still dominated by household consumption and the sale of fresh products, resulting in relatively low added value. The main inhibiting factors included limited market access, price fluctuations, limited capital, and the low technical capacity of farmers. Therefore, efforts are needed to improve farmers’ capacity, diversify processed products, and strengthen market access and institutional support to optimize the sustainable utilization of MPTS plants.
