Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan sari kedelai pada pengencer sitrat kuning telur dan mengetahui perlakuan terbaik terhadap kualitas semen kambing Boer. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada November—Desember 2025 di Peternakan Sinau Farm, Karang Rejo, Metro Utara, Kota Metro, Lampung. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL), dengan 4 perlakuan dan masing-masing perlakuan dilakukan sebanyak 4 ulangan, yaitu P0 : pengencer sitrat kuning telur (tanpa penambahan sari kedelai), P1 : pengencer sitrat kuning telur + 2,5% sari kedelai, P2 : pengencer sitrat kuning telur + 5% sari kedelai, P3 : pengencer sitrat kuning telur + 7,5% sari kedelai. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis ragam dengan taraf 5% dan atau 1% dilanjutkan uji Beda Nyata Terkecil (BNT) untuk peubah yang berbeda nyata. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa, penambahan sari kedelai dalam pengencer sitrat kuning telur berpengaruh sangat nyata (P<0,01) terhadap motilitas pascapengenceran hingga jam ke-5 dan viabilitas spermatozoa pada jam ke-2, serta memberikan pengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap viabilitas jam ke-0, 1, 3, 4 dan 5 penyimpanan suhu ruang. Namun, tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) terhadap abnormalitas spermatozoa baik pascapengenceran maupun selama penyimpanan pada suhu ruang. Disimpulkan bahwa perlakuan terbaik dalam mempertahankan motilitas dan viabilitas spermatozoa adalah pengencer tanpa penambahan sari kedelai dengan nilai motilitas sebesar 43,75±2,50% dan nilai viabilitas sebesar 67,96±1,99% hingga jam ke-5 pada penyimpanan suhu ruang. Kata kunci : Kambing Boer, Kualitas Semen, Sari Kedelai, Sitrat Kuning Telur. This study aims to determine the effect of adding soybean extract to egg yolk citrate diluent and to determine the best treatment for Boer goat semen quality. This study was conducted in November—December 2025 at Sinau Farm, Karang Rejo, North Metro, Metro City, Lampung. The experimental design used in this study was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD), with 4 treatments and each treatment was carried out with 4 replications, namely P0: egg yolk citrate diluent (without the addition of soybean extract), P1: egg yolk citrate diluent + 2.5% soybean extract, P2: egg yolk citrate diluent + 5% soybean extract, P3: egg yolk citrate diluent + 7.5% soybean extract. The data obtained were analyzed for variance at 5% and/or 1% levels followed by the Least Significant Difference (LSD) test for significantly different variables. The results of the analysis showed that the addition of soybean extract in egg yolk citrate diluent had a very significant effect (P<0.01) on post-dilution motility until the 5th hour and spermatozoa viability at the 2nd hour, and had a significant effect (P<0.05) on viability at hours 0, 1, 3, 4 and 5 of room temperature storage. However, it had no significant effect (P>0.05) on spermatozoa abnormalities either after dilution or during storage at room temperature. It was concluded that the best treatment in maintaining spermatozoa motility and viability was the diluent without the addition of soybean extract with a motility value of 43.75±2.50% and a viability value of 67.96±1.99% until the 5th hour of room temperature storage.
