Abstract

Assessment for Learning berperan mendukung guru dan siswa mengarahkan proses pembelajaran agar sesuai dengan tujuan yang ingin dicapai melalui pemberian umpan balik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Assessment for Learning terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 3 Natar semester genap tahun pelajaran 2024/2025 yang terdistribusi dalam 7 kelas. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII B dan VIII C yang dipilih dengan menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling. Desain penelitian ini adalah posttest only control group design. Data penelitian ini berupa data kuantitatif yang diperoleh dari tes uraian pemamahan konsep matematis. Hasil analisis data dengan uji-t menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman konsep matematis siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran menggunakan Assessment for Learning lebih tinggi daripada pemahaman konsep matematis siswa yang tidak menggunakan Assessment for Learning dalam pembelajaran. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa Assessment for Learning berpengaruh terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Kata kunci: assessment for learning, pemahaman konsep, pengaruh Assessment for Learning serves to support teachers and students in directing the learning process to ensure alignment with the intended learning objectives through the provision of feedback. This research aims to determine the effect of Assessment for Learning on students' understanding of mathematical concepts. The population of this study were all VIII grade students of SMP Negeri 3 Natar even semester of the 2024/2025 academic year which were distributed in 7 classes. The samples in this study were VIII B and VIII C students selected using cluster random sampling technique. The design of this research is posttest only control group design. The data of this research is quantitative data obtained from the description test of mathematical concept understanding skill. The results of the data analysis using the t-test show that mathematical concept understanding skill of students who participated in learning using Assessment for Learning are higher than the mathematical concept understanding skill of students who did not use Assessment for Learning in their studies. Therefore, it can be concluded that Assessment for Learning has an impact on the mathematical concept understanding skill of students.
