Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan air tebu dan dosis terbaik air tebu dalam pengencer sitrat kuning telur terhadap kualitas semen cair Kambing Jawarandu. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada November 2025 di UPTD BIBD Provinsi Lampung. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan 4 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan, P0: Pengencer sitrat kuning telur 100 ml (tanpa penambahan Air Tebu); P1: Pengencer sitrat kuning telur 100 ml + 10 ml Air Tebu; P2: Pengencer sitrat kuning telur 100 ml + 20 ml Air Tebu, dan P3: Pengencer sitrat kuning telur 100 ml + 30 ml Air Tebu. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis varians dengan taraf 5% dan atau 1% kemudian diuji lanjut dengan uji Beda Nyata Terkecil untuk peubah yang berpengaruh nyata. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan Air Tebu pada pengencer sitrat kuning telur berpengaruh sangat nyata (P<0,01) terhadap motilitas pada jam ke-2, berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap motilitas pada jam ke-0, 4, 6, 8, dan 10, dan tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) terhadap motilitas pada jam ke-12 dan 14. berpengaruh sangat nyata (P<0,01) terhadap viabilitas pada jam ke-2 dan 4, berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap viabilitas pada jam ke-0 dan 14, dan tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) terhadap viabilitas pada jam ke-6, 8, 10, 12. berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap abnormalitas pada jam ke-6, dan 8, dan tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) terhadap abnormalitas pada jam ke-0, 2, dan 4 hingga jam ke-14 penyimpanan. Hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penambahan air tebu 20 ml + 100 ml pengencer sitrat kuning telur (P2) memberikan pengaruh terbaik terhadap motilitas (46,25%) dan viabilitas (56,46%) spermatozoa kambing Jawarandu, dan abnormalitas terbaik pada perlakuan P0 (18,74%) hingga jam ke-14 penyimpanan. Kata kunci : Air Tebu, Kambing Jawarandu, Sitrat kuning telur, Spermatozoa This study aims to determine the effect of adding sugarcane juice and the best dose of sugarcane juice in egg yolk citrate diluent on the quality of liquid semen of Jawarandu goats. The research was conducted in November 2025 at the UPTD BIBD of Lampung Province. The design used was a Completely Randomized Design with 4 treatments and 4 replications, P0: 100 ml egg yolk citrate diluent (without added sugarcane juice); P1: 100 ml egg yolk citrate diluent + 10 ml sugarcane juice; P2: 100 ml egg yolk citrate diluent + 20 ml sugarcane juice, and P3: 100 ml egg yolk citrate diluent + 30 ml sugarcane juice. The data obtained in were analyzed for variance at the 5% and/or 1% level further tested with the Least Significant Difference test for variabels that had a significant effect. The results showed that the addition of Sugarcane Juice in egg yolk citrate diluent had a very significant effect (P<0.01) on motility at-2 hours, significant effect (P<0.05) on motility at-0, 4, 6, 8 and 10 hours, and no significant effect (P>0.05) on motility at-12 and 14 hours. Very significant effect (P<0.01) on viability at-2 and 4 hours, significant effect (P<0.05) on viability at-0 and 14 hours, and no significant effect (P>0.05) on viability at-6, 8, 10, 12 hours. Significant effect (P<0.05) on abnormalities at-6, and 8 hours, and no significant effect (P>0.05) on abnormalities at-0, 2, dan 4 until the 14th hours of storage. The results of the research can be concluded that the addition of sugarcane juice 20 ml + 100 ml egg yolk citrate diluent (P2) has the best effect on the motility (46,25%) and viability (56,46%) of Jawarandu goat spermatozoa and the best abnormalities were in the P0 treatment (18,74%) until the 14th hours of storage.
