Abstract
This study aimed to determine the efficacy of the Hayatiku formulation— containing the active ingredient Trichoderma asperellum WT1 and oyster mushroom baglog waste—in suppressing the incidence and severity of viral infections in chili plants, as well as enhancing the growth and yield of chili pepper (Capsicum annuum L.). The observed variables included disease incidence, disease severity, plant height, number of leaves, fruit weight and quantity, leaf chlorophyll content, and the presence of other insects and diseases. The research was conducted at the Biotechnology Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Lampung, and at the Experimental Field in Rajabasa District, Bandar Lampung. This study used a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with 4 treatments: control (P0), oyster mushroom baglog (P1), T. asperellum (P2), and the Hayatiku formulation (P3). The results showed that the Hayatiku formulation was not significantly different from the control in suppressing disease incidence. The disease severity in the P3 treatment was quite high, yet lower than the other treatments. Furthermore, the Hayatiku treatment also showed no significantly different results from the control in increasing the growth and yield of chili plants. Keywords: biofertilizer, chili pepper, oyster mushroom baglog, Trichoderma asperellum, viral disease.
