Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penyemprotan larutan jeruk nipis terhadap daya tetas, susut telur, dan bobot tetas Day Old Duck (DOD) itik Tegal. Penelitian menggunakan 100 butir telur itik Tegal dengan berat rata-rata 72,75 ± 1,37 g. Perlakuan terdiri dari kontrol (P0: tanpa penyemprotan) dan P1 (penyemprotan larutan jeruk nipis 15% sebanyak 2 ml/butir pada hari ke-22 inkubasi). Data disajikan dalam bentuk tabulasi histogram kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penyemprotan larutan jeruk nipis 15% (P1) menghasilkan rata-rata daya tetas (86,00%) dan tanpa penyemprotan larutan jeruk nipis (P0) (74,00%). Rata-rata susut telur pada penyemprotan larutan jeruk nipis 15% (P1) (9,96%) dan tanpa penyemprotan larutan jeruk nipis (P0) (7,97%), sementara rata-rata bobot tetas pada pada penyemprotan larutan jeruk nipis 15% (P1) (43,58 g) dan tanpa penyemprotan larutan jeruk nipis (P0) (45,14 g). Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penyemprotan larutan jeruk nipis 15% efektif meningkatkan daya tetas telur itik tegal meskipun berdampak pada peningkatan susut telur, dan penurunan bobot tetas, tetapi hasil yang didapatkan masih dalam batas normal. Kata Kunci: Daya Tetas, Susut Telur, Bobot Tetas, Jeruk Nipis This study aims to analyze the effect of lime solution spraying on hatchability, egg weight loss, and Day Old Duck (DOD) hatching weight of Tegal ducks. The study used 100 Tegal duck eggs with an average weight of 72.75 ± 1.37 g. The treatments consisted of control (P0: without spraying) and P1 (spraying 15% lime solution as much as 2 ml/egg on the 22nd day of incubation). The data were presented in the form of histogram tabulation and then analyzed descriptively. The results showed that spraying 15% lime solution (P1) produced an average hatchability (86.00%) and without spraying lime solution (P0) (74.00%). The average egg loss on spraying 15% lime solution (P1) (9.96%) and without spraying lime solution (P0) (7.97%), while the average hatching weight on spraying 15% lime solution (P1) (43.58 g) and without spraying lime solution (P0) (45.14 g). From the results of the study it can be concluded that spraying 15% lime solution is effective in increasing the hatching power of Tegal duck eggs even though it has an impact on increasing egg loss and decreasing hatching weight, but the results obtained are still within normal limits.
