Abstract
ABSTRACT THE ROLE OF SCHOOL TEACHERS (SMA) IN DRUG ABUSE PREVENTION (Studies in SMA Negeri 16 Bandar Lampung) By NUR FITRIANA DEWI Education under the Act of 2003 on National Education system, Article 1 is: conscious and deliberate effort to come into an atmosphere of learning and the learning process so that learners are actively expanding his potential for him to have the spiritual power of religion, self-control, personality, intelligence, noble character, as well as skills in need himself, society, nation and state. The teacher is the person responsible and instrumental in planning and guiding the students to perform learning activities to achieve the desired growth and development. Formulation of the problem in this study is: "How does the role of secondary school teachers (SMA) in preventing drug abuse in SMA Negeri 16 Bandar Lampung". The purpose of this study was to determine how the role of secondary school teachers (SMA) in preventing drug abuse in SMA Negeri 16 Bandar Lampung. Type of research is a qualitative research used to explain the data in the form of oral and written so that researchers can understand more about the phenomena or events related to the social setting with a focus on the problem to be investigated. Data were collected through interviews and documentation. The data were then analyzed qualitatively, with the stage of data reduction, display data and verification data. Based on the results of research and discussions tailored to the research focus of the obtained findings that suggest that the teacher's role in preventing the misuse of drugs are: (1) To educate students is to impose discipline in the classroom and provide good teaching (2) Supervise students with a warning to students who do not obey (3) To lead and guide students and provide motivation (4) Protecting students with a strict prohibition against students that do not (5) Direct students to provide input and direction Keyword: The Role of Teachers, Drug Abuse
