Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mempreparasi dan mengkarakterisasi komposit hidroksiapatit 10% berat silika dengan perlakuan suhu sintering 1200oC. Sampel dikarakterisasi dengan uji FTIR, SEM, dan XRD. Beberapa gugus fungsi yang dihasilkan yaitu OH-, , , Si-O-Si dan Si-H yang merupakan gugus pembentuk hidroksiapatit dan silika. Bentuk butiran dan batas butir yang dihasilkan juga semakin jelas dengan ukuran butir yang semakin besar dan merata. Akibat distribusi silika pada struktur hidroksiapatit dan perlakuan termal yang diberikan terjadi dekomposisi pada senyawa dengan munculnya dua fasa yang berbeda pada sampel. Fasa yang terbentuk adalah kalsium fosfat silikat (Ca5(PO4)2SiO4) dengan nomor PDF file 40-0393 dan trikalsium fosfat (Ca3(PO4)2) dengan nomor PDF file 9-0169. Kata kunci: komposit, hidroksiapatit, silika, FTIR, XRD, dan SEM. ABSTRACT This study was conducted to prepare and characterize of hydroxyapatite -10 Wt% silica composite with sintering temperature 1200oC. Materials characterized by FTIR test, SEM, and XRD. Some functional groups generated was OH-, , , Si-O-Si dan Si-H which is a group that forming hydroxyapatite and silica. Granules and the resulting grain boundary also increasingly apparent with increasing grain size and evenly. Due to the distribution of silica in the structure of hydroxyapatite and given thermal treatment, there is decomposition of compounds with the emergence of two distinct phases in the sample. The formed phase are calcium phosphate silicate (Ca5(PO4)2SiO4) PDF file number 40-0393 and tricalcium phosphate (Ca3(PO4)2) with a PDF file number 9-0169.
