Abstract
Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan antara pengawasan orang tua dengan tingkat putus sekolah di Kelurahan Purwoasri Kota Metro tahun 2015. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Subjek penelitian adalah orang tua yang anaknya mengalami putus sekolah sebanyak 46 responden. Analisis data menggunakan rumus rank spearman rank dan uji t dengan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara pengawasan orang tua dengan tingkat putus sekolah. Berdasarkan perhitungan statistik terdapat perbandingan antara pengawasan orang tua dengan tingkat putus sekolah dengan Thitung > Ttabel (17.15>1.68) dengan kata lain terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara pengawasan orang tua dengan tingkat putus sekolah. Kata Kunci : pengawasan, orang tua, tingkat putus sekolah. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between parental supervision with dropout rates in Sub Purwoasri Metro City in 2015. The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative research methods. Subjects were parents whose children have dropped out of school as much as 46 respondents. Data analysis using Spearman rank and rank formula t test with data collection using the questionnaire. The results showed that there is a relationship between the supervision of parents with dropout rates. Based on statistical calculations there is a comparison between the level of parental supervision dropout with Thitung > Ttabel (17:15 > 1.68), in other words there is a significant relationship between supervision of parents with dropout rates
