Abstrak

Abstrak- Telah dilakukan penelitian dengan menggunakan metode magnetotelurik (MT) dan geokimia pada daerah “ES” bagian baratlaut, Jawa Timur. Metode Magnetotelurik (MT) merupakan metode eksplorasi geofisika yang menggunakan sumber gelombang elektromagnetik (EM) alami yang berubah terhadap waktu, untuk memetakan kontras resistivitas batuan bawah permukaan. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan pemodelan resistivitas, dan analisis geokimia untuk mendapatkan karakterisitik (berupa jenis fluida dan temperatur reservoar) dan model sistem panasbumi. Berdasarkan hasil pemodelan diperoleh lapisan yang memiliki nilai resistivitas 9-15 Ωm diperkirakan sebagai caprock dan berada pada kedalaman 100-500 m dengan ketebalan 300-400. Lapisan yang memiliki nilai resistivitas ≤ 10 Ωm diperkirakan sebagai reservoar dan berada pada kedalaman 500-1000 m dengan ketebalan 800-1500 m. Maninfestasi air panas pada daerah penelitian termasuk dalam jenis air panas tipe bikarbonat (HCO3), yang berupa campuran air reservoar dengan air meteorik (air permukaan) dan merupakan daerah lateral outflow dengan temperatur reservoar berkisar 350°C. Kata kunci : Magnetotelurik, Geokimia, sistem panasbumi, Caprock, Reservoar Abstract- Has done research by using magnetotelluric method (MT) and geochemistry in northwest region of “ES”, East Java. Magnetotelluric method (MT) is a geophysical exploration method that uses a natural source of electromagnetic waves (EM) that vary with time to map the subsurface contrasts resistivity of rock. The magnetotelluric method is used to build a 2D modelling and the geochemical analysis is performed to obtain the characteristics of geothermal system (type of fluid and reservoir temperature) so getting geothermal system model. Based on modeling results the caprock layer has a resistivity value about 9-15 Ωm with depth 100-500m and thicknees about 300-400m. Layer which has a resistivity value of ≤ 10 Ωm is estimated as a reservoair and located on a depth about 500-1000m with thickness of 800-1500m. Spring water manifestation in the research area is included as a bicarbonate (HCO3), which is a mixture of reservoir water with meteoric water (surface water) and located in lateral outflow region with reservoir temperatur for about 350oC.
