Abstrak Bahasa Indonesia ABSTRAK PENGARUH FOTOPERIODE SELAMA KULTUR Nitzschia sp. TERHADAP KANDUNGAN PROTEIN TOTAL DAN RASIO N P Oleh Rizky Alfiany Penelitian bertujuan untuk menganalisis kandungan protein total, hubungan antara rasio N P pada media kultur dan kepadatan sel pada Nitzschia sp. dengan fotoperiode yang berbeda. Penelitian ini terdiri dari 3 perlakuan dan 3 kali ulangan dengan A(6T:18G), B(12T:12G) and C(18T:6G). Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Maret 2015 bertempat di Laboratorium Budidaya Perikanan, Jurusan Budidaya Perairan, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Lampung. Variabel yang diukur rasio N P, kandungan protein total, dan kepadatan sel. Nitzschia sp. dikultur pada skala laboratorium dengan pupuk conway dan dilakukan pemanenan setelah mencapai fase akhir eksponensial untuk kemudian diukur kadar protein total dan rasio N P. Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan diperoleh nilai rata-rata persentase kandungan protein total tertinggi terdapat pada fotoperiode 6T:18G sebesar 7,08% dan persentase rata-rata kandungan protein total terendah terdapat pada 18T:6G sebesar 0,36%. Rasio N P dengan fotoperiode 18T:6G memiliki nilai tertinggi sebesar (2:1), rasio N P dengan fotoperiode 12T :12G dan 6T:18G menghasilkan perbandingan (1:10). Data dianalisis dengan uji t (α=0,05). Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa perbedaan fotoperiode selama kultur tidak berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan kepadatan, kandungan protein total, dan rasio N P pada media kultur Nitzschia sp.. Peningkatan fotoperiode akan berpengaruh terhadap penurunan kandungan protein total, namun akan meningkatkan rasio N P. CULTURE ON CRUDE PROTEIN CONTENT AND N P RATIO By Rizky Alfiany This research aimed was analyzed crude protein content and was knew the relationship between N P ratio in culture medium and cell density of Nitzschia sp. in different photoperiod treatments. The research consisted of 3 treatments and 3 replications described as A(6T: 18G), B(12T: 12G) and C(18T: 6G). The research conducted on March 2015 at the Laboratory of Aquaculture, Department of Aquaculture, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Lampung. The variable measured such as N P ratio, crude protein content and cell density. Nitzschia sp. cultured on a laboratory scale with conway fertilizer and harvested after reached the end of the exponential phase. Based on observations obtained by the average value of the highest percentage of the total protein content in photoperiod 6T: 18G by 0,78% and the average percentage of the total protein content was lowest for the 18T: 6G by 0,36%. N P ratio by photoperiod 18T: 6G has the highest value of (2:1), with photoperiod N P ratio 12T:12G and 6T:18G generates a comparison (1:10). The data analyzed by t-test (α=0,05). The results of this study concluded that differences in photoperiod during the culture did not affect the increased in cell density, crude protein content, and the ratio of N P in the culture medium of Nitzschia sp.. The increasing of light periode tent to decreasing of crude protein content in Nitzschia cells, but it has the different trend with N P ratio.
