Abstrak (Berisi Bastraknya saja, Judul dan Nama Tidak Boleh di Masukan)
ABSTRAK Ayam arab merupakan ayam petelur unggul karena memiliki kemampuan memproduksi telur yang tinggi yaitu mencapai 230—250 butir/ekor/tahun. Umumnya ayam arab dimanfaatkan sebagai penghasil telur dan tidak digunakan sebagai ayam pedaging. Salah satu faktor yang dapat memengaruhi fertilitas, susut tetas, daya tetas, dan bobot tetas telur adalah lama penyimpanan telur. Penelitian bertujuan untuk (1) mengkaji pengaruh lama penyimpanan telur ayam arab terhadap fertilitas, susut tetas, daya tetas, dan bobot tetas, (2) menentukan lama penyimpanan telur ayam arab yang terbaik terhadap fertilitas, susut tetas, daya tetas, dan bobot tetas. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada 13 Desember 2014—08 Januari 2015 bertempat di peternakan ayam arab milik bapak Ilham di Desa Tegal Rejo, Kecamatan Gadingrejo, Kabupaten Pringsewu. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) terdiri dari tiga perlakuan lama penyimpanan dengan enam ulangan, yaitu P1 (2 hari), P2 (4 hari), dan P3 (6 hari). Setiap satu satuan percobaan terdiri dari 9 butir telur ayam arab. Rata-rata bobot awal berkisar antara 41,18±2,18 g/butir dengan koefesien keragaman ± 5,31%. Data yang diperoleh dari percobaan ini dianalisis dengan asumsi sidik ragam pada taraf nyata 5%. Untuk perlakuan yang berpengaruh nyata pada suatu peubah tertentu (P˂0,05), maka analisis akan dilanjutkan dengan uji Duncan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan lama penyimpanan telur tetas memberikan pengaruh yang nyata (P<0,05) terhadap daya tetas dan berpengaruh tidak nyata (P>0,05) terhadap fertilitas, susut tetas, dan bobot tetas telur ayam arab. Kata kunci : lama penyimpanan telur, fertilitas, susut tetas, daya tetas, bobot tetas, dan ayam arab ABSTRACT The Arabic chicken is superior layer chicken, that has high ability to produce egg, i.e 230—250 eggs/chicken/year . Generally, the Arabic chicken was use as layer chicken and not to use as broiler chicken. One the effecting factor to fertility, weight loss, hatching eggs, and hatching weight is storage duration. The purpose of this research are (1) to assest the effect storage duration of the Arabic chicken egg to fertility, weight loss, hatching eggs, and hatching weight and (2) to determine the best storage duration to fertility, weight loss, hatching eggs, and hatching weight. This research was done on December 13th, 2014 until January 8th, 2015 at Ilham hatchery, Tegal Rejo village, Gadingrejo subdistrict, Pringsewu regency. This research use the complete randomize design with 3 treatments and 6 times replication. Every treatment use 9 of the Arabic chicken eggs. The beginning weight average is 41,18 ± 2,18 g/egg with ± 5, 31% uniformity coeffisien. The treatment given the significant effect to definite variable (P<0,05), the analyzed be continue with Duncan test. The research result shown that storage duration have significant effect (P,0,05) to hatching eggs, but have not significant effect (P>0,05) to fertility, weight loss, and hatching weight of the Arabic chicken egg.
