Abstrak

ABSTRAK BAHASA INDONESIA Kemajuan teknologi yang cepat menyebabkan kebutuhan spektrum semakin besar. Spektrum yang bersifat unrenewable resources dan statis menyebabkan spektrum tidak bisa ditambah. Hal ini dapat diatasi dengan meningkatkan jumlah spectrum holes secara efisien. Radio kognitif adalah teknologi yang mampu mengatasi masalah efisiensi spektrum. Radio kognitif dengan spectrum sensing memungkinkan secondary user untuk mengakses spectrum holes. Energy detection adalah salah satu metode untuk mendeteksi spectrum holes. Spectrum holes ditentukan dengan melakukan perhitungan dan asumsi pada parameter pendeteksi, yaitu daya threshold, probability detection dan probability false alarm. Spectrum holes dinyatakan jika nilai probability detection lebih besar dari nilai probability false alarm. Pada penelitian ini spectrum holes terdeteksi pada frekuensi 1800 MHz lebih banyak dibandingkan pada spektrum frekuensi 1900 MHz dan 2100 MHz. ABSTRAK BAHASA INGGRIS The advances of technology is raising the spectrum deamend. Spectrum is an unrenewable resources and static causing spectrum could not be added and increasing spectrum holes that need to be efficiencied. Cognitive radio is a capable technology to overcome spectrum efficiency problem. Cognitive radio with spectrum sensing alow secondary user to acces to spectrum holes. Energy detection is one of method to detect spectrum holes. Calculation and assumptions on threshold energy, probability of detection and probability of false alarm are need to determine spectrum holes. If amount of probability of detection is bigger than probability of false alarm, it means the spectrum is idle (spectrum holes). In this paper spectrum holes on frequency 1800 MHz detect higher than on frequency 1900 MHz nor 2100 MHz.
