Abstract

Abstrak Salvinia molesta merupakan limbah Waduk Batu Tegi yang berpotensi sebagai sumber pakan ternak nonkonvensional. Informasi tentang kandungan mineral dan pemanfaatannya belum banyak diketahui. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kandungan mineral natrium (Na), kalium (K), klorida (Cl), dan sulfur (S) pada akar tua, akar muda, daun tua, daun muda, dan seluruh tanaman kiambang (Salvinia molesta) serta mengetahui kandungan mineral natrium (Na), kalium (K), klorida (Cl), dan sulfur (S) tertinggi sampai terendah pada masing-masing bagian tanaman Salvinia molesta. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Maret—Mei 2012. Sampel kiambang (Salvinia molesta) diambil dari Waduk Batu Tegi Tanggamus. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan pembagian tanaman sebagai perlakuan dan periode analisis sebagai ulangan, dilanjutkan dengan Uji Beda Nyata Terkecil. Peubah yang diamati adalah kandungan mineral natrium (Na), kalium (K), klorida (Cl), dan sulfur (S). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan sangat nyata (P<0,01) pada kandungan mineral Na dan K yang terdapat di semua bagian tanaman Salvinia molesta sedangkan kandungan mineral Cl pada bagian daun muda, akar tua, dan tanaman utuh terdapat perbedaan sangat nyata (P<0,01 ). Kandungan mineral S pada bagian akar tua, daun tua, dan tanaman utuh berbeda sangat nyata (P<0,01). Kandungan mineral Na, K, CL, S berturut-turut pada bagian daun muda adalah 1,20%, 2,11%, 2,14%, 0,08%; daun tua 1,14%, 0,88%, 1,42%, 0,52%; akar muda 0,82%, 1,54%, 0,20%, 0,06; akar tua 0,64%, 1,01%, 0,23%, 1,52%; dan tanaman utuh 0,93%, 1,25%, 1,21%, 0,57%. 1. This research was aimed to identification the mineral content of sodium (Na), potassium (K), chloride (Cl), and sulfur (S) to the old roots, young roots, old leaves, young leaves, and whole plant Salvinia molesta with to know mineral content of sodium (Na), potassium (K), chloride (Cl), and sulfur (S) highest to lowest in each part of the weed Salvinia molesta. This research was conducted in March-May 2012. Salvina molesta is taken from the reservoir Batu Tegi Tanggamus. Data were analyzed by Analysis of Variance completely randomized designed and the differences among treatments were tested by Least Significant Difference. The variable measured were the minerals sodium (Na), potassium (K), chloride (Cl), and sulfur (S). The results showed that in the mineral content of Na and K was present in all parts of the plant Salvinia molesta there were highly significant differences (P <0.01) while mineral Cl content on the young leaves, old roots and whole plants there were highly significant differences (P <0.01). Mineral S content on the young leaves, old roots, and whole plants were highly significant differences (P <0.01). Mineral content of Na, K, CL, S respectively in the young leaves was 1.20%, 2.11%, 2.14%, 0.08%, 1.14% old leaves, 0.88%, 1 , 42%, 0.52%; young roots 0.82%, 1.54%, 0.20%, 0.06; older roots 0.64%, 1.01%, 0.23%, 1.52 %, and the whole plant 0.93%, 1.25%, 1.21%, 0.57%. 1.
