Abstrak

Abstrak Selain karena proses alami pengkristalan timbal di udara, timbal dapat masuk kedalam ekosistem perairan karena aktivitas manusia. Timbal adalah salah satu logam berat yang bersifat toksik di lingkungan perairan yang belum diketahui secara spesifik pengaruhnya terhadap Nannochloropsis sp.. Berdasarkan penelitian-penelitian yang telah dilakukan sebelumnya diketahui bahwa Nannochloropsis sp. adalah salah satu fitoplankton yang dapat menyerap logam berat. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui dampak dari akumulasi logam berat terhadap kelimpahan dan diameter Nannochloropsis sp.. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Juli 2011 di BBPBL Hanura Lampung. Data yang diperoleh diamati menggunakan regresi linier untuk mengetahui hubungan antara timbal dengan kelimpahan Nannochloropsis sp. dan timbal dengan diameter Nannochloropsis sp.. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bahwa penambahan Pb2+ sebanyak 0,25mg/l memberikan pengaruh nyata yang menurunkan rata-rata diameter sel Nannochloropsis sp. dan Pb2+ pada kondisi alami memiliki kepadatan yang lebih rendah daripada penambahan Pb2+. Kata kunci: Nannochloropsis sp., timbal, kelimpahan, diameter Abstract Besides being natural process of lead crystallization in the air, lead (Pb2+) can get into the aquatic ecosystem due to human activities. Lead is one of toxic heavy metal in aquatic environments with unknown specific effects in Nannochloropsis sp. Based on previously studies, known that Nannochloropsis sp.is one of phytoplankton that can absorbs heavy metals. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of heavy metal accumulation on the abundance and the cell diameter of Nannochloropsis sp.. The research was conducted on July 2011 in BBPBL Hanura Lampung. The obtained data were observed using linear equation model to determine the relationship between the lead with the abundance of Nannochloropsis sp. and the lead with the cell diameter of Nannochloropsis sp.. The results showed that Pb2+ addition 0,25 mg/l tend to decreased cell diameter of Nannochloropsis sp.. Nannochloropsis sp. in natural Pb2+ condition had lower abundance than in Pb2+ addition.
