Abstrak

Abstrak Ikan mas merupakan jenis ikan konsumsi air tawar yang banyak dibudidayakan. Permintaan ikan mas yang sangat pesat menyebabkan budidaya ikan mas dilakukan secara intensif. Kegiatan budidaya tidak terlepas dari adanya penyakit, salah satunya disebabkan oleh bakteri Aeromonas salmonicida. Selama ini, penanggulangan penyakit pada budidaya umumnya menggunakan antibiotik. Pemakaian antibiotik sebagai obat utama dalam penanganan suatu penyakit akan menimbulkan resistensi dari bakteri penyebab penyakit dan dapat mencemari lingkungan. Oleh sebab itu, diperlukan alternative untuk menggantikan antibiotik. Salah satunya yaitu dengan penambahan imunostimulan pada pakan yang bertujuan untuk mencegah terjadinya infeksi yang disebabkan oleh bakteri Aeromonas salmonicida. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Agustus sampai dengan Oktober 2011 di Laboratorium Budidaya Perairan. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah RAL dengan 5 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan, dimana perlakuan A (tanpa ragi dan vitamin C/kontrol), B (penambahan ragi 5 g/kg pakan dan vitamin C 500 mg/kg pakan), C (penambahan ragi 10 g/kg pakan dan vitamin C 500 mg/kg pakan), D (penambahan ragi 5 g/kg pakan dan vitamin C 750 mg/kg pakan), E (penambahan ragi 10 g/kg pakan dan vitamin C 750 mg/kg pakan). Parameter yang diukur dalam penelitian ini adalah kelangsungan hidup ikan, gejala klinis, perhitungan total leukosit, dan kualitas air. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan bahan imunostimulan berupa ragi dan vitamin C memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap kelangsungan hidup ikan dan total leukosit (P<0,05). Perlakuan D (penambahan ragi 5 g/kg pakan dan vitamin C 750 mg/kg pakan) memberikan hasil terbaik dengan menghasilkan kelangsungan hidup tertinggi yaitu 88,89% dan jumlah leukosit sebesar 135.860sel/mm3. Demand on carp that is always increase lead to intensive carp culture. Carp culture can not be separated from diseases, such as infection of Aeromonas salmonicida. Nowdays, prevention of diseases in aquaculture generally use antibiotics. The use of antibiotics as the main drug in the treatment of a disease will cause resistance of disease-causing bacteria and can contaminate the environment. Therefore, alternatives are needed to replace antibiotics. One of them is the addition of immunostimulants on feed that aims to prevent the occurrence of infections caused by Aeromonas salmonicida infection. The research was conducted from August until October 2011 in the Laboratory of Aquaculture. Experiment design used was completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 3 replications. The treatment were treatment A (without yeast and vitamin C / control), B (addition of yeast 5 g / kg of feed and vitamin C 500 mg / kg of feed), C (addition of 10 g yeast / kg feed and vitamin C 500 mg / kg of feed), D (the addition of yeast 5 g / kg of feed and vitamin C 750 mg / kg of feed), E (the addition of yeast 10 g / kg of feed and vitamin C 750 mg / kg of feed) . Parameters measured in this study were RPS, clinical symptoms, number of total leukocyte, and water quality. The results showed that the use of immunostimulants in the form of yeast and vitamin C to give significant effect on the survival of fish and total leukocytes (p<0.05). Treatment D (the addition of yeast 5 g / kg of feed and vitamin C 750 mg / kg of feed) gave the best performance by generating the highest survival of 88,89% and amount of leukocytes by 135.860 cells/mm3.
