Abstract
Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) kecepatan difusi inovasi komoditas jagung hibrida di Desa Bandar Agung Kecamatan Bandar Sribhawono Kabupaten Lampung Timur, (2) faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan kecepatan difusi inovasi komoditas jagung hibrida di Desa Bandar Agung Kecamatan Bandar Sribhawono Kabupaten Lampung Timur, (3) faktor yang paling berhubungan dengan kecepatan difusi inovasi komoditas jagung hibrida di Desa Bandar Agung Kecamatan Bandar Sribhawono Kabupaten Lampung Timur. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada Gapoktan Harapan Jaya di Desa Bandar Agung Kecamatan Bandar Sribhawono Kabupaten Lampung Timur yang dipilih secara sengaja (purposive). Penentuan jumlah sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan teori Yamane, karena jumlah populasi 332 jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 77 petani. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada September 2011. Hubungan antar variabel diuji dengan menggunakan uji analisis Parsial Kendall. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu (1) Proses berlangsungnya difusi inovasi komoditas jagung hibrida di Desa Bandar Agung Kecamatan Bandar Sribhawono Kabupaten Lampung Timur tergolong dalam kategori cepat, (2) Faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan Kecepatan proses difusi inovasi komoditas jagung hibrida di Desa Bandar Agung Kecamatan Bandar Sribhawono Kabupaten Lampung Timur adalah karakteristik sumber inovasi, karakteristik sasaran inovasi, pesan, dan saluran, (3) Faktor yang paling berhubungan dengan kecepatan proses difusi inovasi komoditas jagung hibrida di Desa Bandar Agung Kecamatan Bandar Sribhawono Kabupaten Lampung Timur adalah karakteristik sasaran inovasi. Kata Kunci : difusi inovasi, jagung hibrida Abstract The purposes of this research are to find the following aspects in Bandar Agung Village, Bandar Sribhawono District of Lampung Timur Regency (1) the speed of diffusion of innovation, (2) factors correlated to the speed of diffusion of innovation, (3) the most correlated factor to the speed ofdiffusion of innovation. This study was conducted in Harapan Jaya “Gapoktan” in Bandar Agung Village of Bandar Sribhawono District of Lampung Timur Regency in September 2011. The samples are 77 farmers as respondents taken by using Yamane Theory. Partial Kendall analysis is used to analyze the data gathered. The results ofthe research showed that (1 ) the speed ofdiffusion of innovation in hybrid corn commodity was categorically fast, (2) the factors correlated to the speed of diffusion of the innovation were characteristics of the source of the innovation, characteristics of the receivers of the innovation, message, and channel, (3) characteristics of the receivers of the innovation was the most correlated factor to the speed of diffusion of innovation in hybrid corn commodity.
