Abstrak Sampai dengan tahun 2030 Kota Bandar Lampung masih membutuhkan Ruang Terbuka Hijau (RTH) 3.731,01 ha, yang terdiri dari 1.682,50 ha RTH privat dan 2.048,51 ha RTH publik. Salah satu ruang terbuka yang potensial dikembangkan menjadi RTH adalah Pusat Kegiatan Olah Raga (PKOR) Way Halim. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menentukan tipe vegetasi yang sesuai berdasarkan preferensi masyarakat. Untuk mengetahui preferensi masyarakat terhadap tipe vegetasi digunakan metode Scenic Beauty Estimation, yaitu dengan meminta masyarakat menilai berbagai tipe vegetasi yang ditawarkan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan faktor-faktor visual yang paling disukai oleh masyarakat (pengunjung PKOR) adalah keanekaragaman jenis tumbuhan 26% (13 orang), susunan spasial vegetasi 24% (12 orang) dan warna tumbuhan 16% (8 orang). Sedangkan berdasarkan latar belakang pekerjaan dan tingkat pendidikan responden, secara umum menyukai rancangan tipe vegetasi campuran tersusun. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dengan metode SBE diperoleh rancangan tipe vegetasi campuran tersusun yang memiliki nilai keindahan (estetika) paling tinggi. The propose of this observation is for determining the appropriate type of vegetation based on the preferences of the society. To know the preferences of the society against the type of vegetation used method Scenic Beauty Estimation, ask to society to assesing various type of vegetation that offered. The result showed visual factors of various vegetation type most liked by society are variety type of plants 26% (13 people), special arrangement of vegetation (12 people) and color of plants (8 people). While based of respondents background of job and level of education, generally liked the design of mixed composed type of vegetation. Based on the results of analysis by scenic beauty estimation method obtained the mixed composed type of vegetation have high esthetic value. Keywords.
