Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk, (1) Mengetahui manfaat ekonomi Lumbung Dusun Nuju Mulyo bagi para anggota di Kecamatan Ambarawa, Kabupaten Pringsewu, (2) Mengetahui manfaat ekonomi lumbung rumah tangga bagi para petani di Kecamatan Ambarawa, Kabupaten Pringsewu, (3) Mengetahui besamya risiko harga yang diterima petani yang melakukan dan tidak melakukan penyimpanan gabah di lumbung rumah tangga di Kecamatan Ambarawa, Kabupaten Pringsewu dan Kecamatan Kotaagung Timur, Kabupaten Tanggamus. Penelitian dilakukan di Desa Sumberagung, Kecamatan Ambarawa, Kabupaten Pringsewu dan Desa Mulangmaya, Kecamatan Kotaagung Timur, Kabupaten Tanggamus. Lokasi ini dipilih secara sengaja {purposive). Sampel penelitian diambil secara Simple Random Sampling dan Purposive dengan jumlah sampel 72 orang petani dan 7 orang pengurus lumbung dusun. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode survei. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini adalah: (1) Penyimpanan gabah di Lumbung Dusun Nuju Mulyo memberikan manfaat ekonomi bagi setiap anggotanya selama Tahun 2011 sebesar Rp21.431,10. (2) Penyimpanan gabah di lumbung rumah tangga memberikan manfaat ekonomi berupa selisih harga jual gabah di musim panen dan paceklik sebesar Rp623,00/kg dan tambahan penerimaan sebesar Rp966.691,41/responden/musim tanam dari rata-rata gabah yang ditunda jual sebanyak 1.498,50kg/musim tanam. (3) Petani yang melakukan penjualan gabah kurang dari satu bulan setelah panen memiliki risiko harga lebih tinggi dari pada tiga bulan setelah panen dengan selisih risiko fluktuasi harga sebesar RpO,05/kg atau selisih harga terendah yang diterima sebesar Rpl.063,55/kg. Kata Kunci: Manfaat Ekonomi, Lumbung Padi, Risiko Harga, dan Gabah Abstract The objectives of this research are to find out (1) the benefits of the bam economic in Nuju Mulyo for all members in Distric Ambarawa, Pringsewu, (2) the economic benefits of domestic barn to farmers in the District Ambarawa, Pringsewu, (3) the amount of the risk of price received by farmers who did and did not make the storage of rice in the bam household in District ambarawa, Pringsewu and East Kotaagung, Tanggamus. This research was conducted in Sumberagung, Distric Ambarawa, Pringsewu and Mulangmaya, District East Kotaagung, Tanggamus. It was chosen as purposive. The sample of this research was taken as Sample Random Sampling and Purposive with the total sample 72 farmers and 7 bam boards. This research method used survey method. The results of this research are (1) the saving rice in the bam of Nuju Mulyo give economic benefits for each member on year 2011 by Rp21.431,10. (2) the saving rice in house hold bam give economic benefits with difference between the sales price of rice in the harvest and famine Rp623,00/kg and additional income Rp966.961 ,41/respondent/ growing season from the average of sales rice which is canceled 1.498,50kg/growing season. (3) The farmers who sell rice less than a month after harvest has risk of price higher than three months after the harvest with difference in the risk of price fluctuations RpO,05/kg or the lowest price that get Rp1.063,55/kg.
