Abstrak

Abstrak Nannochloropsis sp. merupakan jenis mikroalga yang memiliki kandungan lemak yang cukup tinggi. Cahaya sangat diperlukan oleh mikroalga untuk menjalankan proses fotosintesis. Kurangnya cahaya yang dibutuhkan oleh mikroalga untuk aktivitas fotosintesis akan menyebabkan proses fotosintesis tidak berlangsung normal sehingga menggangu biosintesis sel selanjutnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh fotoperiod terhadap kandungan lemak pada Nannochloropsis sp. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Januari 2012 bertempat di laboratorium Zooplankton BBPBL Lampung. Data dianalisis menggunakan model rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan 3 perlakuan dan masing-masing terdiri dari 3 ulangan. Nannochloropsis sp. dikultur dengan kepadatan 35x105 sel/ml dan diberi perlakuan 6T:18G, 12T:12G, dan 18T:6G. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan 18T:6G memiliki kepadatan yang baik dan memiliki kandungan lemak yang paling tinggi pada fase awal (9,62%) dan akhir stasioner (10,62%). Kata kunci : Nannochloropsis sp., lemak, fotoperiode Abstract Nannochloropsis sp. is one of unicellular microalgae that content a high lipid concentration. Light period is very important for microalgae to carry out photosynthesis process. Lack of light period on photosynthesis process will cause abnormal photosynthesis that can effect the further biosynthesis process. The aim of the research is to understand the effect of photoperiod on the lipid composition of Nannochloropsis sp. The research was conducted on January 2012 in Zooplankton Laboratory BBPBL Lampung. Data were analyzed by complete randomized design (CRD) with three treatments and each consisting of three replications. Nannochloropsis sp. was cultivated with density 35x105 sel/ml in three different photoperiod treatment, namely 6T:18G, 12T:12G, dan 18T:6G. The result showed that 18T:6G have fastest growth and highest percentage of total lipid composition in early stationer phase (9,26%) and end stationer phase (10,26%).
