Abstrak Penyakit kuning adalah salah satu penyakit penting pada cabai yang disebabkan oleh virus gemini dan disebarkan oleh kutu kebul (Bemisia tabaci Genn.). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui penyebaran penyakit kuning yang disebabkan oleh virus gemini pada pertanaman cabai di Kabupaten Tanggamus, mengetahui hubungan antara populasi kutu kebul dan keterjadian penyakit kuning dan mengetahui hubungan antara curah hujan dan populasi kutu kebul. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penyakit yang disebabkan oleh virus gemini telah tersebar pada pertanaman cabai di 4 Pekon pengamatan yaitu Pekon Campang dengan keterjadian penyakit sebesar 83,33%, Margoyoso sebesar 84,11%, Gisting Atas sebesar 84,33% dan Gisting Bawah sebesar 79,61%. Populasi kutu kebul (Bemisia tabaci Genn.) berpengaruh terhadap keterjadian penyakit kuning, semakin tinggi populasi kutu kebul maka semakin tinggi keterjadian penyakit pada pertanaman cabai. Data yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa hasil analisis regresi linear dengan persamaan regresi Y = 73,49 + 1,54x dan koefisien korelasi r = 0,872. Curah hujan berpengaruh terhadap populasi kutu kebul, semakin tinggi curah hujan maka populasi kutu kebul akan menurun. Data yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa hasil analisis regresi linear dengan persamaan regresi Y = 9,79 – 0,087x dan koefisien korelasi r = -0,88. Abstract Yellow disease is one of the important diseases in chili that caused by a virus and is spread by the tobacco whitefly (Bemisia tabaci Genn.). This study aims to determine the spread of yellow diseases caused by gemini virus on chili plant in the district Tanggamus, and determine the relationship between the population of the tobacco whitefly and the occurrence of yellow disease and also the relationship between rainfall and the population of the tobacco whitefly. The results showed that the disease caused by a gemini virus has spread of chili plant at four Pekon. They were Pekon Campang with 83.33%, 84.11% with Margoyoso, 84.33% with Gisting Atas and 79.61% with Gisting Bawah incidence of the disease. Population of tobacco whitefly (Bemisia tabaci Genn.) affect the incidence of yellow disease. The increation of population tobacco whitefly increased yellow disease. The data show that linear regression analysis with regression equation Y = 73,49 + 1,54x and the correlation coefficient r = 0,872. Rainfall affected population of tobacco whitefly. The increation number of rainfall decreased population of tobacco whitefly.
