Abstrak Plutella xylostella L. merupakan hama penting yang menyerang tanaman sawi. Salah satu alternatif pengendalian hama ini adalah dengan penggunaan pestisida nabati. Tumbuhan yang dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai pestisida nabati adalah tanaman jarak pagar (Jatropha curcas L.). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh aplikasi ekstrak buah jarak pagar (J. curcas) terhadap mortalitas P.xylostella. Perlakuan dalam penelitian ini disusun dalam rancangan acak kelompok (RAK), yang terdiri atas tujuh perlakuan dengan tiga ulangan. Perlakuan terdiri atas aplikasi ekstrak buah jarak konsentrasi 0,0; 2,5; 7,5; 10; 12,5; 15; dan 20 ml/l air. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan sidik ragam dan dilanjutkan dengan uji BNT pada taraf 5% dan analisis probit untuk menentukan LC50 . Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi ekstrak buah jarak (J. curcas) dapat menyebabkan mortalitas P. xylostella. Mortalitas tertinggi (88,33%) terdapat pada konsentrasi 20 ml/l pada 72 jsa. Daya racun ekstrak buah jarak pagar (J. curcas) terhadap larva P. xylostella ditunjukkan dengan nilai LC50 pada 72 jsa ialah sebesar 7,21 ml/l. Kata kunci :Ekstrak buah jarak pagar, Jatropha curcas L., Plutella xylostella L., pestisida nabati. Abstract Plutella xylostella L. is one of important pests of brassica plants. Alternative controls which is currently being intensively developed is the application of botanic pesticide. This study aims to determine the effect of application of jatropha fruit extract (J. curcas) on mortality of P. xylostella. The treatment was arranged in randomized block design (RBD), which consisted of seven treatments with three replications. The treatments consisted of the application of the fruit extract concentration : 0.0; 2.5; 7.5; 10; 12.5; 15; and 20 ml/l of water. Data were analyzed with analysis of variance followed by least significant difference ( LSD) test at 5%, and probit analysis was performed to determine the LC50. The results showed that the application of jatropha fruit extracts could cause mortality of P. xylostella, with the highest mortality (88.33%) at a concentration of 20 ml / l. Toxicity of jatropha fruit extracts (J. curcas) on larvae of P. xylostella indicated by LC50 values at 72 hour after application was 7, 21 ml / l.
