Abstrak

Abstrak Mikroalga Nannochloropsis sp. adalah salah satu pakan alami yang umum digunakan dalam kegiatan kultur larva ikan dan udang karena memiliki kandungan asam amino yang tinggi. Kandungan asam amino dipengaruhi oleh cahaya. Tingginya asam amino esensial pada mikroalga akan meningkatkan nutrisi pakan alami bagi larva ikan dan udang. Tujuan penelitian adalah menganalisis kandungan asam amino esensial Nannochloropsis sp. dengan periode penyinaran berbeda yaitu 18T-6G dan 6T-18G. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Januari 2012, bertempat di BBPBL Hanura Lampung. Parameter yang diamati adalah kandungan asam amino esensial, laju pertumbuhan, dan kualitas air. Asam amino esensial yang terdapat pada Nannochloropsis sp. pada penelitian antara lain terdiri dari L-Valin, L-Isoleusin, LLeusin, L-Arginin, L-Threonin, L-Fenilalanin, L-Methionin, L-Histidin, dan L-Lisin HCl. Pengaturan periode penyinaran Nannochloropsis sp. pada kondisi 18T-6G mempunyai kandungan asam amino esensial 217,90% lebih tinggi dibandingkan 6T- 18G. Kata kunci: Nannochloropsis sp., Fotoperiode, dan Asam amino esensial Abstract Marine Microalgae Nannochloropsis sp. commonly used as natural food for fish larvae and shrimp culture because it has a high composition of amino acids. The composition of essential amino acids in the microalgae may effect the quality of natural food for fish and shrimp larvae. Amino acid variability in microalgae was affected by light photoperiod. The aim of the research was to analyze composition of the essential amino acids on Nannochloropsis sp. under different photoperiod namely 18T-6G and 6T-18G. The study conducted on January 2012, at BBPBL Hanura Lampung. The essential amino acid composition, growth rate, and water quality were observed during the research. The essential amino acids which were existed on Nannochloropsis sp. are L-Valin, L-Isoleusin, L-Leusin, L-Arginin, L-Threonin, LFenilalanin, L-Methionin, L-Histidin, dan L-Lisin HCl. The composition of essential amino acids on 18T-6G treatment was 217,90% higher than 6T-18G treatment. Key words: Nannochloropsis sp., Photoperiod, and Essential amino acids
