Abstrak (Berisi Bastraknya saja, Judul dan Nama Tidak Boleh di Masukan)
Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor dan mengetahui indeks perbandingan komponen yang mendasari persepsi petani dalam menentukan keputusan petani untuk menggunakan benih padi varietas Ciherang di Kecamatan Trimurjo Kabupaten Lampung Tengah. Lokasi penelitian dipilih secara sengaja. Responden sebanyak 75 petani. Pengumpulan data dilakukan pada bulan Juni sampai dengan Agustus. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis faktor dengan menggunakan metode Analisis Komponen Utama (AKU). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) faktor-faktor yang mempengarahi keputusan petani untuk menggunakan benih padi varietas Ciherang adalah umur tanaman, tinggi tanaman, jumlah anakan produktif, jumlah buah padi tiap-tiap malai, tingkat ketahanan terhadap kerontokan dan kerebahan, tekstur nasi, bobot 1000 butir, potensi hasil, tingkat ketahanan terhadap serangan hama dan penyakit tanaman, harga benih, desain kemasan, pengaruh orang lain, dan promosi. 13 faktor tersebut diperoleh setelah dilakukan 3 kali proses analisis dengan menghilangkan variabel yang memiliki nilai MSA kurang dari 0,5, (2) ketiga belas faktor tersebut tereduksi menjadi empat komponen, yaitu (a) komponen 1 terdiri atas faktor jumlah anakan produktif, jumlah buah padi tiap-tiap malai, tekstur nasi, bobot 1000 butir, dan potensi hasil, (b) komponen 2 terdiri atas faktor tingkat ketahanan terhadap kerontokan dan kerebahan, tingkat ketahanan terhadap serangan hama dan penyakit tanaman, desain kemasan, dan promosi, (c) komponen 3 terdiri atas faktor umur tanaman, tinggi tanaman, dan harga, (d) komponen 4 terdiri atas faktor pengaruh orang lain. Kata kunci : Benih, Padi, Persepsi, Analisis Faktor, Analisis Komponen Utama Abstract This study aims to determine the factors and detennine the components of the underlying index of comparison in determining the perception of farmers farmer's decision to use the rice seed in the District Trimurjo Ciherang Central Lampung regency. Locations were selected on purpose. Respondents by 75 farmers. Data collection were carried out from June to August. Data were analyzed using Principal Component Analysis (PCA). The results showed that (1) factors affecting fanner's decision to use the rice seeds were Ciherang age of plant, plant height, number of productive tillers, number of pieces of each panicle rice, the level of resistance to loss and collapse-resistant, textured rice, 1000 grain weight, yield potential, the level of resistance to pests and plant diseases, seed prices, packaging design, influence others, and promotion. 13 factors were obtained after 3 times the analysis process by eliminating the variables that have MSA values less than 0.5, (2) the thirteenth factor is reduced to four components, namely (a) component 1 consists of factors the number of productive tillers, number of fruits each rice panicle, 1000 grain weight, texture rice, and potential outcomes, (b) component 2 consists of factors levels of resistance to loss and resistance collapsed, the level of resistance to pests and diseases, packaging design, and promotion, (c) third component consists of factors plant age, plant height, and price, (d) 4 component consists of factors influence people.
