Abstract
Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi permintaan ayam ras pedaging dan tingkat kepekaan (elastisitas) permintaan ayam ras pedaging oleh konsumen rumah tangga di Kota Bandar Lampung. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Kota Bandar Lampung. Lokasi ini dipilih secara sengaja. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara multisage sampling. Responden terdiri dari 54 orang yang merupakan ibu rumah tangga pada kelas menengah bawah dan menengah atas. Pengumpulan data dilaksanakan pada Bulan April-Mei 2012. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa :(1) Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi permintaan ayam ras pedaging oleh konsumen rumah tangga di Kota Bandar Lampung adalah harga ayam ras pedaging, harga daging sapi, harga ikan, harga tempe, jumlah anggota rumah tangga, dan pendapatan, (2) Permintaan ayam ras pedaging bersifat elastis terhadap harga di tingkat konsumen, permintaan ayam ras pedaging terhadap daging sapi dan ikan memiliki sifat substitusi sedangkan terhadap tempe memiliki sifat komplementer, dan ayam ras pedaging merupakan barang normal. Kata Kunci : ayam ras pedaging, , permintaan dan konsumen rumah tangga Abstract This study aimed to analyze the factors that affect consumer demand for broiler chicken and the level of demand sensitivity (elasticity) for broiler chicken by households in Bandar Lampung City. The experiment was conducted in Bandar Lampung. This location is selected purposive. Sampling is done by multistage sampling. Respondent consisted of 54 people who are housewife at the upper middle and lower middle class based on the income. Data was conducted in April-May 2012. Data analysis methods that used in this research are multiple regression. The result showed that: (1) the factors that affect consumer demand for broiler chicken by households in Bandar Lampung is the price of broiler chicken, beef price, fish price, tempe price, the number of household members, and household income, (2) demand for broiler chicken is elastic to broiler chicken price change at the consumer level, demand for broiler chicken on beef price and fish price are substitusions, and demand for broiler chicken on tempe price are complementer, and broiler chicken is a normal good.
