Abstrak

Fusarium wilt disease caused by Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. cubense is one of the problems to increase banana plant production. This research was aimed to determine the effect of combination treatment between Trichoderma spp. and organic matter for growing and developing fusarium wilt disease on banana plant. This research was conducted in in two phases, they are screening of Trichoderma isolate and efficacy trial of Trichoderma spp. for suppressing fusarium wilt disease growth. Screening of Trichoderma spp. is conducted by determining five soil samples on banana plant rhizosfer, then they were isolated to get some isolate of Trichoderma spp. and then they were tested by in-vitro. Eficcacy trial of Trichoderma spp. for suppressing fusarium wilt disease consists of 12 treatments and four time replications, every one time replicaton is consist of 10 plants, treatment was prepared with randomized complete block design then analyzed by analysis of variance followed by Orthogonal analysis (P≤0,05). Organic matter that was used are rice straw, cassava peel, and compost. Trichoderma viride was obtained by screening of Trichoderma isolate. Application of T. viride could surpress disease incident up to 65%, and disease severity up to 34,16%. The highest disease incident was in treatment FT0O0 (100%) and organic matter only (78,33%). Application of T. viride only had lower incident and severity disease than combination of T. viride and organic matter. Different application time (nursery and soil medium) was not significantly difference for incident and severity disease fusarium wilt. Kind of organic matter was not significantly difference for incident and severity disease fusarium wilt. Key words: Trichoderma viride, Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. cubense (Foc), rice straw, cassava peel, compost, fusarium wilt, organic matter, biological control. Penyakit layu fusarium yang disebabkan oleh jamur Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. cubense merupakan salah satu kendala dalam upaya peningkatan produksi tanaman pisang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kombinasi jamur Trichoderma spp. dan bahan organik terhadap pertumbuhan dan perkembangan penyakit layu fusarium pada pisang. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam dua tahap, yaitu tahap pertama skrining isolat Trichoderma spp. dan tahap kedua uji efikasi Trichoderma spp. terhadap penekanan perkembangan penyakit layu fusarium. Skrining isolat Trichoderma spp. dilakukan dengan menentukan lima sampel tanah pada rizosfer tanamaan pisang, kemudian diisolasi untuk mendapatkan beberapa jenis isolat Trichoderma spp. lalu kemudian diuji secara in-vitro. Uji efikasi Trichoderma spp. terhadap penekanan perkembangan penyakit layu fusarium terdiri atas 12 perlakuan dan empat ulangan, setiap ulangan terdiri atas 10 tanaman, perlakuan disusun dalam rancangan acak kelompok lengkap. Bahan organik yang dipakai ialah jerami padi, kulit singkong, dan kompos. Data yang diperoleh diolah secara statistika dengan uji ragam dan dilanjutkan dengan analisis ortogonal kontras (P≤0,05). Isolat terefektif yang didapatkan dari hasil skrining Trichoderma spp. ialah isolat Trichoderma viride. Aplikasi T. viride mampu menekan keterjadian penyakit sebesar 65%, dan keparahan penyakit sebesar 34.16%. Keterjadian penyakit layu fusarium tertinggi terdapat pada perlakuan FT0O0 (tanpa pengendalian) sebesar 100% dan aplikasi dengan bahan organik saja sebesar 78.33% . Aplikasi T. viride saja memiliki ketejadian dan keparahan penyakit yang lebih rendah dibandingkan dengan kombinasi aplikasi T. viride bersamaan dengan bahan organik. Pengaruh aplikasi T. viride di pembibitan dan di media tanah tidak berbeda nyata terhadap keterjadian dan keparahan penyakit layu fusarium. Jenis bahan organik tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap intensitas penyakit. Kata kunci: Trichoderma viride, Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. cubense (Foc), jerami padi, kulit singkong, kompos, layu fusarium, bahan organik, pengendalian hayati.
