Abstract
STUDI DAN ANALISA CAMPURAN TANAH LEMPUNG DAN ABU SEKAM PADI TERHADAP NILAI PERMEABILITAS DENGAN ALAT FAALING HEAD Kebutuhan nilai permeabilitas tanah untuk suatu kontruksi berbeda-beda. Perbedaan tersebut mempengaruhi kekuatan dari suatu konstruksi sipil yang akan dibangun. Oleh karena itu, perlu adanya usaha dalam merekayasa nilai permeabilitas tanah dengan menambahkan zat additive pada suatu tanah agar nilai permeabilitas yang didapat memenuhi standar konstruksi sipil yang akan dibangun. Bahan additive yang dipakai sebaiknya memiliki nilai perekat tanah yang kuat sehingga nilai permeabilitas yang didapat menjadi semakin kecil (rapat). Diantara sekian banyak zat additive yang dipakai sebagai bahan stabilisasi tanah, salah satunya adalah abu sekam padi. Beberapa penelitian terakhir dalam bidang teknik sipil menunjukkan bahwa abu sekam padi berdayaguna sebagai campuran stabilisasi tanah khususnya tanah lempung. Sebab abu sekam padi dapat mengisi rongga-rongga yang ada di antara butiran-butiran tanah. Sampel tanah yang diuji pada penelitian ini yaitu tanah lempung yang berasal dari Perumahan Bhayangkara, Kelurahan Beringin Jaya, Kecamatan Kemiling, Bandar Lampung. Abu sekam padi yang digunakan diperoleh dari Dusun Dantar Kecamatan Padang Cermin Kabupaten Pesawran.. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menentukan pengaruh abu sekam padi terhadap nilai permeabilitas tanah. Hasil analisa dan perhitungan yang dilakukan di laboratorium antara tanah asli dan tanah campuran abu sekam padi diperoleh niai permeabilitas (k) rata-rata untuk tanah asli sebesar 1,2187 x 10-7, untuk campuran abu sekam padi 5% sebesar 1,6812 x 10-7, untuk campuran abu sekam padi 10% sebesar 5,4621 x 10-6, untuk campuran abu sekam padi 15% sebesar 1,6151 x 10-5. Such differences affect the strength of a civil construction to be built. Therefore it is necessary to attempt to manipulate the soil permeability value by adding the additive to a soil permeability values obtained in order to meet the standard of civil construction to be built. Additive materials used should have a strong soil adhesive so that the permeability values obtained become smaller (closer). Among the many additives are used as soil stabilization materials, one of them is rice husk ash. Some recent researches in the field of Civil Engineering showed that rice husk ash mixture useful as a particularly clay soil stabilization. Because rice husk ash can fill the cavities that exist between the grains of ground. Soil samples tested in this study is clay derived from Perumahan Bhayangkara, Kelurahan Beringin Jaya, Kecamatan Kemiling, Bandar Lampung. Rice husk ash used were obtained from Dusun Dantar, Kecamatan Padang Cermin, Kabupaten Pesawaran. This study was conducted to determine the effect of rice husk ash to the soil permeability values. The results of analysis and calculations performed in the laboratory between native soil and soil with rice husk ash mixture obtained average permeability value (k) for the native soil is 1.2187 x 10-7, 5% rice husk ash added is 1.6812 x 10-7, 10% rice husk ash added is 5.4621 x 10-6, and 15% rice husk ash added is 1,6151 x 10-5.
