ABSTRACT COMMUNICATION STRATEGIES OF KINDERGARTEN TEACHERS IN TEACHING FIVE DAILY PRAYERS TO THE STUDENTS (Studies in Ar-Raudah Playgroup and Kindergarten) By: JESYKA MUTIARA YUDA Five daily prayers as the main worship for Muslims should be taught to children early, in order to create a religious person. Five daily prayers lesson have been generally given to children since they were sitting in kindergarten. Students who are children in the range of 4-6 years age, have the particular characteristics that are different from adults. Remembering the special characteristics that the students had, kindergarten teachers have to develop and choose a strategy in teaching the five daily prayers carefully, in order to make communications run properly and effectively. The problem formulation in this research is: How does the kindergarten’s communication strategy that implemented by teachers in teaching five daily prayers to the students? The purpose of this research is to determine, describe, and explain the communication strategies of kindergarten teachers in teaching five daily prayers to the students. The theory that support this research is acquisition fulfillment theory. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method and focused on the implementation strategy, supporting strategy, integration strategy, and the application of acquisition fulfillment theory in teaching five daily prayers to the students. Informants in this research is the Principal and Teacher in Ar-Raudah Playgroup and Kindergarten who are chosen by the purposive sampling technique (intentional). To find out the success of communication strategies, the author adds 3 informal informant who are the student at Ar-Raudah. Data analysis techniques in this research is using the technique of data reduction, display, and verification. Based on the results, this research shows that the implementation strategy is implemented as the early planning to determine the activities and identify the implementation of five daily prayers learning programs that will be performed. The supporting strategies in teaching five daily prayers at Al-Raudah come from external and internal school. On the integration strategy in the process of teaching five daily prayers to the students, Ar-Raudah integrate the five daily prayers learning into all aspects that exist in the school. In addition, the acquisition fulfillment theory is applied as the specific strategic to support the success of the five daily prayers learning after implementing a communication strategy.
