Abstract
ABSTRACT VALUE AND BOY ROLE IN FAMILY BATAK TOBA PERANTAU (Study on Punguan Pomparan Raja Silahisabungan and Punguan Pomparan Raja Toga Manurung's at Lampung's Port City) by DONNY YP SILALAHI This study aims to analyze the value and role of boys in the family Toba nomads, and also to know how to shape the role of boys in Toba Batak family of nomads. This research was conducted at Punguan Pomparan Raja Silahisabungan and Punguan Pomparan Raja Toga Manurung at Bandar Lampung and addressed to the 70th head of the family. Type of research is descriptive, this study sample was 70 samples. Methods Data were collected by questionnaires. While activity data analysis performed by quantitative analysis. Based on the research results are known, the existence of boys for the Batak Toba nomads still very significant. But there was a slight shift in giving treatment to children who once were any more devoted to the needs of boys, but now the thinking has changed and the Batak people are no longer discriminating treatment to boys as well as in each of need fulfillment, such as the average share for all existing children in her family. The role of boys in this study is still a leader in each of Toba Batak ceremony. Without the presence of boys custom event will not be able to walk properly.
