Abstrak (Berisi Bastraknya saja, Judul dan Nama Tidak Boleh di Masukan)

Abstrak Telah direalisasikan sebuah alat pengukur indeks bias cairan yang sekaligus menampilkan nilai viskositasnya dengan menerapkan hukum Snellius dengan tampilan LCD. Alat tersebut terdiri dari sensor LDR, potensiometer multiturn, motor stepper, mikrokontroler ATMega 8535 dan LCD 16x2. Proses kerja alat yaitu sensor LDR akan bergerak horizontal mencari berkas cahaya paling terang dari sinar laser yang telah dibiaskan oleh cairan. Pergerakan LDR secara horizontal ini dibantu oleh motor stepper bipolar dan belt. Ketika sensor LDR terkena cahaya, maka sensor LDR akan berhenti bergerak dan mikrokontroler akan membaca keluaran dari potensiometer multiturn yang sebelumnya ikut berputar seiring dengan pergerakan LDR. Keluaran dari potensiometer multiturn ini akan dikonversikan sebagai bentuk perubahan jarak LDR dan akan dihitung oleh program sebagai nilai indeks bias cairan dan viskositas cairan. Nilai viskositas yang didapatkan merupakan hasil perhitungan numerik program dimana terlebih dahulu dicari hubungan antara perubahan nilai indeks bias terhadap viskositas yang didapat dari hasil eksperimen. Hasil dari perubahan nilai indeks bias terhadap viskositas setiap cairan berbeda-beda dimana pada larutan garam memiliki perubahan nilai indeks bias terhadap viskositas yang lebih linier sehingga persamaan empiris larutan garam = 0.0014 + 0.0028 dimasukkan pada perhitungan program. Oleh karena itu, alat ini hanya baik digunakan untuk menampilkan nilai visksositas larutan garam sedangkan nilai indeks bias dapat digunakan untuk semua cairan yang mampu dilewati cahaya tampak. Rentang pengukuran nilai indeks bias cairan yang mampu di ukur alat yaitu 0.66 sampai 5.69 dan nilai viskositas antara 0.003718 P sampai 0.010723 P. Kata kunci : Indeks Bias, Viskositas, Sensor LDR, Potensiometer Multiturn, Mikrokontroler ATMega8535 Abstract It has realized an instrument for measuring a refractive index of a liquid that is at once showing the value viscosity with apply the snellius’ law by the look of LCD. The device consisting of a LDR, potensiometer multiturn, stepper motor, microcontroller atmega 8535 and 16x2 LCD. The process of working instrument that is the LDR will be moving horizontally looking for more visible light beam from a laser beam that has been refracted by a liquid. This movement LDR in horizontally was aided by the bipolar stepper motor and belt. When LDR exposed to light, then LDR will stop moving and microcontroller going to read output of potensiometer multiturn formerly also be spinning along with the movement of LDR. Output of potensiometer multiturn this will be converted as an altered form a distance LDR and will be processed by programs as the value of the refractive index and viscosity of a fluid. The value of viscosity obtained is the result of numerical calculations a program where first sought the refractive index of the relation between a change in value against viscosity obtained from the results of experiments . The result of alteration of the value of the refractive index against the viscosity of any fluid varying where to the solution of salt having a change in value the refractive index against viscosity more linear so the equation of empirical the solutions of salt = 0.0014 + 0.0028 put on calculations of the program. Therefore, this instrument is only good used to display the value of viscosity the solutions of salt while the value of the refractive index can be used to all the fluid that can pass visible light. The range measuring the refractive index of liquid is 0.66 to 5.69 and the value of viscosity is 0.003718 P to 0.010723 P.
