Abstrak (Berisi Bastraknya saja, Judul dan Nama Tidak Boleh di Masukan)
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis lampu yang sesuai untuk pertumbuhan tanaman selada (Lactuca sativa L.) pada hidroponik sistem sumbu. Penelitian ini telah dilaksanakan pada bulan April sampai Juni 2015. Penelitian ini menggunakan faktor tunggal yaitu: penyinaran sinar matahari (N0), penyinaran 2 lampu Neon 18 watt (N1), penyinaran 2 LED 36 watt dan 1 lampu Halogen 150 watt (N2), penyinaran 2 lampu Neon 18 watt dan 2 LED 36 watt (N3), dan penyinaran lampu pijar 100 watt (N4). Setiap perlakuan terdiri dari 4 tanaman, sehingga terdapat 20 sampel tanaman. Perlakuan penyinaran dengan lampu diletakkan dalam ruang penanaman yang dibatasi dengan papan tripleks. Sementara, tanaman dengan penyinaran matahari yang diletakkan dalam greenhouse sebagai pembanding. Hasil pengamatan menunjukkan pertumbuhan vegetatif tanaman selada terbaik adalah pada perlakuan N3 dengan penyinaran 2 lampu Neon dan 2 LED. Namun jika dibandingkan dengan perlakuan N0 pertumbuhan selada perlakuan N3 masih belum optimal karena masih mengalami etiolasi. Hal ini disebabkan intensitas cahaya dalam ruang penanaman masih kurang sesuai. Kata kunci : Lampu Neon, LED, Lampu Halogen, Lampu Pijar, Selada, Hidroponik sistem sumbu THE EFFECT OF LAMP TYPES ON THE GROWTH AND PRODUCTION OF LETTUCE GROWN IN AN INDOOR HYDROPHONIC SYSTEM The objective of this research was to evaluate responses of grand rapid lettuce (Lactuca sativa L.) grown in an indoor hydrophonic system (a wick system) under the treatments of some different types of lighting. The research was conducted in April to June 2015. The treatment used in this research consisted of a single factor (types of lighting) with five levels: Sun lighting (N0),, 2 tubes of 18 Watt fluorescent lamp (N1), 2 sets of 36 Watt LED + 1 tube of 150 Watt halogen lamp (N2), 2 sets of 36 Watt LED + 2 tubes of 18 Watt fluorescent lamp (N3), and 150 Watt bulb (N4). Each treatment consisted of four plants which were grown in a 60 cm x 60 cm x 120 cm growth chamber made of plywood, except for sun light treated plants which were placed in a mini greenhouse. Results showed that among the plants in the growth chambers, the best vegetative growth was shown by the lettuce in the treatment of 2 sets of 36 Watt LED + 2 tubes of 18 Watt fluorescent lamp (N3), However; compared to those plants grown under the sun light, the lettuce in N3 still looked etiolation because light intensity was not optimal yet.
