Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis determinan atau faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi terjadinya konsentrasi pada lembaga pendidikan tinggi yang terjadi di Kota Bandar lampung. Variabel bebas pada penelitian ini adalah jumlah usia sekolah, angkatan kerja dan aktivitas ekonomi. Data yang digunakan adalah data time series. Analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan analisis regresi linier berganda dengan menggunakan metode Ordinary Least Square (OLS). Hasil estimasi menunjukkan bahwa secara bersama-sama variabel bebas jumlah usia sekolah dan aktivitas ekonomi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap konsentrasi lembaga pendidikan tinggi di kota Bandar Lampung. Sedangkan variabel bebas angkatan kerja berpengaruh negatif dan tidak signifikan. Temuan utama penelitian ini adalah terjadi konsentrasi lembaga pendidikan tinggi di kota Bandar Lampung sejak tahun 2000 hingga tahun 2013. Kata Kunci : Konsentrasi Spasial, Aglomerasi Abstrak Bahasa Inggris This study aims to identify and analyze the determinants effect of the concentration on higher education institution that occurred in the city of Bandar Lampung. independent variable in this study is the number of school age, Workforce and Economic Activity. The data used is the time series data. The analysis used in this study using multiple linear regression analysis using Ordinary Least Square method (OLS). The estimation results indicate that jointly independent variable number of school age and economic activity are positive and significant impact on the concentration of higher education institutions in the city of Bandar Lampung . While the independent variables of the labor force and no significant negative effect . The main finding of this study is a concentration of higher education institutions in the city of Bandar Lampung from 2000 to 2013. Keywords: Spatial Concentration, Agglomeration
