Abstrak Shalat merupakan rukun Islam ke-2 yang wajib dilaksanakan oleh umat beragama Islam. Shalat wajib terdiri dari 5 (lima) waktu yang berbeda setiap hari. Dalam kondisi yang jauh dari jangkauan masjid diperlukan adanya sebuah pengingat waktu shalat ketika sudah masuk waktunya. SMS (Short Message Service) merupakan salah satu teknologi telekomunikasi yang paling sederhana. Aplikasi berbasis SMS menggunakan layanan Gammu dapat dijadikan alternatif penyebaran SMS baik untuk SMS Broadcast, SMS Gateway, dan SMS Terjadwal secara efektif dan efisien. Aplikasi pengingat waktu shalat otomatis berbasis SMS merupakan suatu aplikasi yang dapat membantu mengingatkan pengguna khususnya umat Islam ketika telah masuk waktu shalat 5 (lima) waktu. Kata Kunci: Pengingat Shalat, SMS Terjadwal, SMS Broadcast, SMS Gateway Abstract Shalat is the 2nd pillar of Islam, which must be carried out by all of Muslims. Obligatory Shalat consists of 5 (five) different times every day. When a person is far from mosque, a Shalat’s times’ reminder is necessary while the Shalat’s time is coming. SMS (Short Message Service) is one of the most simple communication technologies. a Gammu service in SMS application can be an alternative way to send SMS, such as SMS Broadcast, SMS Gateway, and Scheduled SMS effectively and efficiently. Automated Shalat’s times reminder is an application that could help to remind users, especially Muslims, when the time for obligatory Shalat is coming.
