Abstrak (Berisi Bastraknya saja, Judul dan Nama Tidak Boleh di Masukan)

The aims of this research were to find out the significant difference of students’ reading comprehension achievement and to find out the aspects of reading comprehension which were most and least improved after being taught through RAPQ technique. Thirty of second grade students, class VIII.A from SMP Kartika Jaya II-2 Bandar Lampung was the sample of this research. The instrument in this research was reading test. One group Pre-test Post-test was used as the design of the research. The data were collected using test. The test was reading test of multiple choices with 40 items. Pre-test and post-test were used to see the difference before and after being taught through RAPQ technique, and try-out test was done to measure whether the instrument was good and applicable to be used. After analyzing the data, the results of pre-test indicated that the highest score was 70.0, and the lowest score was 42.5 with the mean score was 53.5. In the posttest, it was found that the results of the highest score was 82.5 and the lowest score was 60 with the mean score was 72. It can be proved that the students have improved their reading comprehension. The results also showed that RAPQ technique can improved five aspects of reading comprehension. Vocabulary was the most improved aspect (32.67%) and the aspect of specific information was the least improved (6.67%). From the results of the tests which were analyzed by using Repeated Measure t-test, it showed that t-value was 15.237, and it was higher than t-table (2.160). It can be concluded that there was significant difference of students’ reading comprehension before and after being taught by using RAPQ technique.
