Abstrak (Berisi Bastraknya saja, Judul dan Nama Tidak Boleh di Masukan)

Penggunaan bensin sebagai bahan bakar tentunya akan menambah biaya produksi petani, karena harga bahan bakar bensin semakin mahal dan produksinya yang terus menurun. Petani harus memilih bahan bakar alternatif yang lebih murah untuk pengoperasian tenaga penggerak pompa air untuk menekan biaya produksi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menguji performansi keseragaman curahan, keseragaman distribusi, dan laju aplikasi irigasi sprinkler Portable dengan pompa berbahan bakar gas, dan menganalisa kelayakan bahan bakar gas sebagai pengganti bensin untuk pompa irigasi sprinkler. Penelitian dilakukan di desa Marga Agung, Kecamatan Jati Agung, Lampung Selatan pada bulan Mei-Juni 2015. Tenaga penggerak pompa untuk irigasi sprinkler dimodifikasi pada bagian karburator (sistem bahan bakar). Karburator pada mesin pompa digantikan dengan leher karburator universal. Kemudian dilakukan analisis sifat fisik tanah pada lahan penelitian. Uji performansi sitem irigasi dilakukan dengan metode singge head nozzle sprinkler. Sistem irigasi sprinkler portable pompa berbahan bakar gas ini diaplikasikan pada tanaman pakcoy dengan satu pipa lateral. Penyiraman pada tanaman dilakukan berdasarkan kadar air tanah pada lahan yang terukur melalui soil moistire meter. Rata-rata konsumsi bahan bakar gas perjam sebesar 0,51 kg, dengan total penggunaan bahan bakar selama budidaya sebanyak 4,6 kg. Pengukuran nilai keseragaman curahan diperoleh rata-rata sebesar 52,6%, sedangkan untuk nilai keseragaman distribusi rata-rata sebesar 41,2%. Pengujian keseragaman dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode singgle head nozzle sprinkler, sehingga penyebaran keseragaman curahan kurang merata. Berdasarkan segitiga tekstur tanah (USDA), lahan pada tempat penelitian bertekstur lempung berpasir. Budidaya pakcoy menggunakan irigasi sprinkler portable dengan pompa berbahan bakar gas pada luasan lahan 400 m2 layak untuk dilanjutkan, dan diapikasikan oleh petani karena nilai R/C rasio sebesar 1,4 (R/C rasio >l), serta biaya irigasi yang dikeluarkan sebanyak Rp.900,-/m3 air irigasi lebih murah dibandingkan biaya air dari PDAM Way Rilau Bandar Lampung yakni sebesar Rp3.500,-/m3 air. The use of gasoline as fuel would surely increase production costs, because the price of fuel becomes more expensive whilst gasoline production are continuing to decrease. Farmers must choose alternative fuel cheaper to operate propulsion water pumps to reducing production cost. The purpose of this research was to test performance of the coefficient of uniformity, distribution uniformity, and application rate of sprinkler irrigation with gas fuel pumps, and to analyze the feasibility of the fuel gas as a replacement fuel for sprinkler irrigation pumps. The research was conducted in Marga Agung village, Jati Agung subdistrict, South Lampung in May-June 2015. Propulsion pump for irrigation sprinkler modified on the carburettor (fuel system). Carburetor in the engine pumps were replaced with universal carburetor throat. Then analyzes the physical properties of the soil in the research area. Irrigation system performance test was conducted using a single head nozzle sprinkler method. Portable Sprinkler irrigation systems with gas fuel pump was applied to the plant pakcoy with a lateral pipe. Sprinkling the plants based on soil moisture content in the soil measured through soil moisture tester. The average fuel consumption by 0.51 kg of gas per hour, with total fuel used for the cultivation by 4.6 kg. Measurement value of the coeffisient of uniformity flow obtained an average by 52,6%, while the value of distribution uniformity on average by 41.2%. Uniformity testing performed using a single head nozzle sprinkler, so that the uniformity of flow less evenly spread. Based on the soil texture triangle (USDA), land in the research area had sandy loam texture. Cultivation pakcoy using sprinkler irrigation portable with gas fuel pumps at 400m2 land area deserves to be continued, and applied by farmers because the value of R/C ratio was 1.4 (R/C ratio> l), as well as irrigation costs incurred Rp.900,-/m3 of irrigation water is cheaper than the cost of water from the Class IV of PDAM Way Rilau bandar Lampung, amounting Rp3.500,-/m3 water.
