Abstrak
ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji tentang pemanfaatan SIG dalam pemetaan sebaran guru IPS dan geografi pada SMP dan SMA Negeri Diwilayah Kota Metro tahun 2014. Titik tekan kajianya pada peta dan data SIG SMP dan SMA serta persebaran guru IPS Geografi di Kota Metro. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif informatif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini sebanyak enam belas sekolah. Objek penelitian ini yaitu data Spasial dan data Attribute. Pengumpulan data dengan dokumentasi, observasi dan wawancara. Analisis data dengan reduksi data, penyajian data,sebagai dasar dalam interpretasi dan deskripsi data dalam pembuatan laporan penelitian ini. Hasil dalam penelitian ini: (1) menunjukan bahwa data fasilitas serta guru SMP dan SMA yang ada di Kota Metro dapat disajikan melalui peta dan SIG. (2) bahwa sebaran dan kebutuhan guru IPS Geografi di wilayah Kota Metro tidak merata bahkan mengalami kelebihan guru IPS Geografi tersebut dapat disajikan melalui peta. Kata Kunci: Sistem Informasi Geografi, Pemetaan, Basisdata, Kebutuhan Guru. ABSTRACT This research aims to study on the use of GIS in mapping the distribution of social studies and geography teacher at Junior and senior high school in Metro City’s region in 2014. This research focused on map,GIS data and the distribution of social studies and Geography’s teacher at Metro City. This research uses descriptive informative method. Subjects in this study are sixteen schools. Object of this research is Spatial Data and Attribute Data. Collecting data with documentation, observation and interviews. Data were analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, as the basis for the interpretation and description of the data in making this research report. The results in this study: (1) proved that the data like facilities, teacher of junior and senior high school in Metro city can be presented through maps and GIS. (2) that the distribution and the need for social studies and Geography’s teacher at the Metro City region isnt spread evenly and infact, it encounter excess of social study and geography teacher and that data can be presented through the map.
