Abstract

INSTRUMENTASI ACOUSTIC SPECTROSCOPY UNTUK IDENTIFIKASI TINGKAT KADAR AIR PADA KAYU Kayu banyak dimanfaatkan di bidang properti, seperti rumah dan meubel. Ketersediaan dan kemudahan dalam pengerjaannya membuat kayu menjadi pilihan untuk bahan konstruksi. Kadar air pada kayu sangat berpengaruh terhadap kualitas kayu. Pada penelitian ini telah dilakukan perancangan dentifikasi persentase kadar air kayu dan analisis frekuensi gelombang suara terhadap kadar air kayu menggunakan transformasi fourier cepat. Pemrosesan sinyal dilakukan dengan bantuan software Matlab. Penelitian ini bertujuan membuat desain sederhana alat untuk mengidentifikasi tingkat kadar air pada kayu berdasarkan spektroskopi gelombang akustik yang dihasilkan oleh ketukan palu dan direkam menggunakan mikrofon. Berdasarkan hasil yang telah diperoleh, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kadar air kayu berbanding lurus dengan frekuensi, yaitu semakin tinggi kadar air kayu maka nilai frekuensinya semakin besar. Begitu juga sebaliknya, semakin rendah kadar air kayu, maka nilai frekuensinya akan semakin kecil. Kata Kunci : Akustik, Spektroskopi, Kadar Air Kayu ACOUSTIC SPECTROSCOPY INSTRUMENTATION FOR IDENTIFICATION WATER CONTENTS IN WOOD Wood widely used in the property sector, such as home appliances and the furniture. The availability and easiness in process make wood become an option in construction materials. The moisture content in a wood affects on the quality of wood. This research designed the identification of water percentage contained in the wood and the analysis of the frequency of the sound waves against wood moisture content using the Fast Fourier Transform. Signal processing conducted with the help of Matlab software. This research aims to make the simple design tools to identify the level of moisture in the wood based spectroscopy acoustic waves generated by a knock hammer and recorded using a microphone. Based on the result obtained, concluded that the moisture of water directly proportional againts frequency, the higher water moisture, then the bigger value of the frequency. Otherwise the lower water moisture, then the smaller value of the frequency. Key word : acoustic, spectroscopy, The moisture content
