Abstrak (Berisi Bastraknya saja, Judul dan Nama Tidak Boleh di Masukan)
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan pendapatan dengan motivasi menyekolahkan anak dan untuk mengetahui hubungan visi pendidikan dengan motivasi menyekolahkan anak. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Desa Tirta Makmur Kecamatan Tulang Bawang Tengah Kabupaten Tulang Bawang Barat. Tipe penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif. Sampel penelitian ini berjumlah 85 kepala keluarga yang mempunyai anak masih bersekolah. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah kuesioner, dokumentasi dan studi pustaka sedangkan analisis data dilakukan dengan cara analisis deskriptif tabulasi silang dan analisis inferensia dengan alat statistik yang digunakan uji nonparametrik chi-square melalui program pengolahan data statistik, yaitu SPSS. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui: terdapat hubungan signifikan positif antara variabel pendapatan dengan variabel motivasi menyekolahkan anak (F hitung (10,107) > F tabel (9,49) dengan tingkat kepercayaan 90%. Semakin tinggi pendapatan orangtua maka akan tinggi motivasi menyekolahkan anak. Sedangkan tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara visi pendidikan dengan motivasi menyekolahkan anak. Hal ini dikarenakan pola pikir masyarakat Desa Tirta Makmur yang sama, pendidikan orang tua, sarana dan prasarana sekolah tidak berpengaruh terhadap motivasi menyekolahkan anak di Desa Tirta Makmur. Kata kunci: pendapatan, visi pendidikan, motivasi menyekolahkan anak ABSTRAK BAHASA INGGRIS This study purposed to determine the relationship of family income and parents’ motivation to send their children to school and also the relationship of educational vision with parents’ motivation to send their children to school. This research was conducted in the village of Tirta Makmur District of Tulang Bawang Tengah of Tulang Bawang Regency. This type of case study is quantitative research. The research has 85 sample of families’ head whose children are going to school. Data collection in this study taken by a questionnaire, documentation, and literature. Data analysis was done by descriptive analysis by cross tabulation and inferential analysis with statistic nonparametric chi-square test through statistical data processing programs, called SPSS. The survey results revealed that there is a highly significant positive relationship between the variables family income with parents’ motivation to send their children to school variables (F count (10.107)> F table (9.49) with a 90% confidence level. The higher the income, parents’ motivation to send their children to school is also high. While there is no significant relationship between educational vision variabel and parents’ motivation to send their children to school variable. This is because the parents has same mindset in Tirta Makmur village, and parents’ education, school facilities and infrastructure do not parents’ motivation to send their children to school in the village of Tirta Makmur.
