Abstract

ABSTRACT. Lead one of a toxic heavy metal in aquatic environment with unknown effect on biological mechanism. Microalgae biomass may absorb heavy metal from the environment in unknown rate respectively. The bioaccumulation mechanism on microalgae reduce heavy metal concentration to the treshold level for biological level. Nannochloropsis sp. is marine microalage with sensitive respon to heavy metal. The research aim was to determined the bioacuumulation treshold effect of specific heavy metal (lead) on marine microalgae Nanochloropsis sp. The different media (TMRL and Conwy) were used to. The research was conducted on July 2010 in BBPBL Hanura Lampung Province. The data was analized by using simple linier regression model to found the correllation between microalgae density and present of heavy metal. The result showed that the media have not significant effect on bioaccumulation ability of Nannochloropsis sp. The present of lead on media has positive correllation with microalgae density.
