Abstrak
Seperti kita ketahui handphone (HP) merupakan suatu perangkat telekomunikasi elektronik yang berfungsi untuk melakukan panggilan telepon serta dapat melakukan pengiriman dan penerimaan Short Message Service (SMS). Fasilitas yang diberikan handphone seperti SMS biasanya digunakan untuk mengirim dan menerima pesan kepada kerabat, teman serta relasi kerja. Padahal SMS dapat melakukan hal lain seperti melakukan pengendalian jarak jauh dimana SMS sebagai media komunikasinya. Sehingga penggunaan SMS tidak hanya terbatas pada komunikasi antara 2 orang. Pada Penelitian Pengendalian dan Monitoring Jarak Jauh Berbasis Komputer Menggunakan Handphone. Isi SMS yang dikirimkan dari handphone nantinya akan dibaca oleh komputer dengan memberikan perintah AT Command yaitu AT+CNMI. Kemudian pesan yang sudah dikenali oleh komputer akan dilanjutkan ke PPI untuk dilakukan pengendalian terhadap beban sesuai dengan perintah yang diberikan oleh handphone. Setelah eksekusi terhadap beban berhasil maka sensor akan membaca kondisi lampu yang terjadi. Sensor nantinya akan memberikan sinyal balik ke komputer sehingga komputer dapat mengirim SMS sesuai dengan kondisi lampu yang ada. Hasil dari perancangan ini diantaranya sistem dapat menerima perintah dan melakukan pengendalian sesuai tujuan yaitu menghidupkan dan mematikan lampu, pengendalian sistem ini dapat dilakukan menggunakan instruksi yang telah ditentukan oleh programmer dalam hal ini menggunakan perintah ON1. Sistem ini dapat memonitoring keadaan lampu dengan adanya pesan balasan dari receiver. Kata kunci : Handphone (HP), Modem, Short Message Service (SMS) , PPI 8255, AT Command english As we know that handphone (HP) is an electronic communication device which functions are for calling someone, sending and receiving Short Message Service (SMS). Usually, features contained in handphone such as SMS only used for sending and receiving message from families, friends, and partner. Whereas, SMS also can be applied as remote control, with SMS is its communication media. So, SMS is not only available in communication between two people. In the experiment of Computer-Based Remote Controlling and Monitoring Using Handphone, content of SMS sent from handphone will be read by computer by giving order AT command, that is AT+CNMI. Then, the message that has been detected by computer will be forwarded to PPI and controlled its load depends on the order given by handphone. After load execution is done, then censor will read the lamp condition. Then censor will give signal back to the computer so that computer can send SMS based on the lamp condition. The result of this design is that the system can receive an order and control it, suitable with the purpose; to switch on and off the lamp. This controlling system can be applied by using instruction that designed by programmer, in this case using command ON1. This system can monitor of the lamp condition with a message reply from receiver. Key words: Handphone (HP), Modem, Short Message Service (SMS), PPI 8255, AT command.
