Sekincau-Suoh is road side which has mostly red soil, it is predicted as clay soil which is containing high water content. Network construction of the road from and to Sekincau – Suoh is purposed to facilitate a mobility of service goods to West Lampung regency and surroundings, in which at Suoh region will be built a geothermal power plant so that the mobility on the side road will be increased. Sample used at this research is disturbed and undisturbed sample. The sample is taken as many as 10 spots started from Gumbim village, Fila Tengah village and Fila ujung village, with distance 200 meters inter spot on side road of Sekincau direction to Suoh in West Lampung regency. This research to know a kind of soil based on physical character and mechanical soil, to know relation physical character to bearing capacity as well as to know how big the effect of subgrade CBR to a thickness of flexible pavement by using Bina Marga Method. By the research and analysis is concluded that soil samples accord to the USCS system classified into a fine-grained soil in the OL group is organic clay with low to medium plasticity, while according to the AASHTO soil classification classified into A-7-6 (10) class that is clay soil. The average value of CBR design obtained was 4.1% of the range 1.96% - 5.33%, this value is the CBR value for clay soil with poor drainage, proper CBR value for pavement systems has range from 5% - 10 %. By using the Bina Marga method obtained the value of road flexible pavement is; surface layer is laston layer with 10 cm thickness, the base layer is laston layer with 15 cm thickness and sub base layer is crushed stone layer class A with 17 cm thickness.
