Abstrak

Abstrak Semakin tinggi kemajuan teknologi dapat memacu seseorang untuk dapat lebih mengasah kreatifitas untuk menciptakan sesuatu yang bermanfaat, salah satunya adalah game komputer. Dalam penelitian ini suatu game strategi yang dimainkan dalam media internet maupun jaringan lokal oleh dua orang user. Dalam game online ini terdapat dua unsur utama, yaitu server dan client. Metode waterfall diterapkan dalam tahap-tahap pengembangan perangkat lunak ini. Mulai dari mendefinisikan kebutuhan baik user maupun sistem. Menentukan semua desaindesain mulai dari gameplay game, pengaturan koneksi jaringan, nama user atau login, kapal, animasi atau grafis, sound, medan perang, mengatur strategi posisi kapal, menentukan pemenang, penghitungan score, serta membuat media komunikasi. Mengimplementasikan desain melalui bahasa pemrograman Microsoft Visual Basic yang kemudian dari setiap unit akan diuji. Mengintegrasikan semua unit kemudian sistem akan diuji secara keseluruhan. Kemudian operation dan maintenance. Aplikasi Game Strategi Kapal Perang Online ini dapat dijadikan sebagai alternatif game strategi yang disertai animasi dan sound yang dapat digunakan sebagai sarana hiburan. Teknologi internet maupun jaringan lokal sangat membantu dalam aplikasi Game Strategi Kapal Perang Online ini untuk pemindahan data antara dua unit komputer. Kata kunci: Game Online, Waterfall, Strategi Abstract The advance of technology can make people to be more accelerate at increasing their creativity to create some kinds of more usefull thing, computer game is one of them. In this study a strategy game that is played in the internet media as well as local networks by two users. In this online game there are two main elements, namely the server and client. Waterfall method is applied in stages of development of this software. Starting from defining the needs of both users and systems. Determining all the designs ranging from gameplay gaming, network connection settings, user name or login, ships, animation or graphics, sound, battlefield, set strategy vessel position, determine the winner, score calculation, and makes media of communication. Implementing the design through the Microsoft Visual Basic programming language which is then of each unit will be tested. Integrating all the units and the system will be tested as a whole. Then the operation and maintenance. Application Strategy Game Online Warships can be used as an alternative strategy game that accompanied animation and sound that can be used as a means of entertainment. Internet and local network technology is very helpful in applications Warship Online Strategy Game is to transfer data between two computers. Keyword: Online Game, Waterfall, Strategy
