Abstract Alcohol has many benefits, as antibiotic, fuel, dissolver and reagents. For health, alcohol is used as stimulants and depresses of nerve system. Alcohol has many disadvantages. Many accidents occurred are caused by alcohol consumption. Alcohol beverage chronically can affect brain cell, especially in cerebellum. This research aim to know decrease amount of mice Purkinje cell who given orally alcoholic beverage. Twenty mice (Mus musculus L.) strain Balb/c (age 3-4 months) divided at random become 4 group, that is control, dose 0,56, dose 0,80, dose 1,12 each consisted of 5 mice. During 30 day given orally 1,12 mL aquadest (control), and dose 0,56, 0,80, and 1,12 given alcohol orally each 0,56 mL, 0,80 mL, and 1,12 mL. After 30 days, mice were decapitated and its cerebellum taken to be made microscopic slide and interpretated by using microscope. Alcoholic beverages X branded reduce the amount of Purkinje cell of cerebellum. By using test of ANOVA and Pearson there is relation that has no meaning of each group. With the Pearson’s test there is weak negative correlation between steps up dose of alcoholic beverages with the decrease of Purkinje cell of cerebellum. Alcoholic beverages X branded reduce the amount of Purkinje cell that has no meaning. There is negative correlation between steps up dose of alcoholic beverages with amount of Purkinje cell of Cerebellum. Keyword: Alcoholic beverages, amount of Purkinje cell, cerebellum. ABSTRAK PENGARUH PEMBERIAN MINUMAN BERALKOHOL TERHADAP JUMLAH SEL PURKINJE SEREBELLUM MENCIT (Mus musculus L.) JANTAN GALUR BALB/C Oleh Muhalla Mirza Primanda Alkohol mempunyai banyak kegunaan, sebagai zat pembunuh kuman, bahan bakar, pelarut dan reagensia. Dalam dunia kesehatan, alkohol digunakan sebagai stimulan dan depresi sistem saraf. Alkohol juga memiliki kerugian. Banyak kejadian kecelakaan disebabkan konsumsi minuman beralkohol. Konsumsi alkohol secara kronis dapat mempengaruhi sel saraf otak terutama bagian serebelum. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat penurunan jumlah sel Purkinje mencit yang diberikan minuman beralkohol peroral. Sebanyak 20 ekor mencit (Mus musculus L.) galur Balb/c jantan (usia 3-4 bulan) dibagi secara acak menjadi 4 kelompok, yaitu kontrol, dosis 0,56, dosis 0,80, dosis 1,12 masing-masing terdiri dari 5 ekor. Selama 30 hari, diberikan secara peroral 1,12 mL aquades (kontrol), dosis 0,56, 0,80, dan 1,12 diberikan minuman beralkohol masing-masing 0,56 mL, 0,80 mL, dan 1,12 mL. Setelah 30 hari, mencit didekapitasi dan diambil serebelum untuk dibuat sediaan mikroskopis dan diinterpretasi dengan menggunakan mikroskop. Pemberian minuman beralkohol merk X mengurangi jumlah sel Purkinje serebelum. Dengan uji ANOVA dan Pearson terdapat hubungan yang tidak bermakna masing-masing kelompok. Dengan uji Pearson terdapat korelasi negatif yang lemah antara peningkatan dosis minuman beralkohol dengan penurunan jumlah sel Purkinje serebelum. Pemberian minuman beralkohol merk X mengurangi jumlah sel Purkinje dengan tidak signifikan. Terdapat korelasi negatif yang lemah antara peningkatan dosis pemberian minuman beralkohol dengan jumlah sel Purkinje serebelum. Kata kunci: Minuman beralkohol, jumlah sel Purkinje, serebelum
