Abstract

Infertilitas merupakan kegagalan suatu pasangan untuk mendapatkan kehamilan sekurang-kurangnya dalam 12 bulan berhubungan seksual secara teratur tanpa kontrasepsi. Kasus infertilitas pada pria dapat dicegah dengan mengonsumsi buah-buahan yang mengandung antioksidan, seperti buah naga daging putih. Salah satu obat yang dapat menginduksi terjadinya infertilitas pada pria adalah siproteron asetat yang merupakan golongan obat anti androgen terkuat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui efek protektif pemberian suplemen jus buah naga putih (Hylocereus undatus) terhadap motilitas dan jumlah spermatozoa tikus putih (Rattus norvegicus) jantan dewasa galur Sprague dawley yang diinduksi siproteron asetat. Penelitian yang dilakukan adalah penelitian eksperimental pada bulan September sampai November selama 31 hari perlakuan dengan menggunakan 24 ekor tikus putih jantan dewasa yang dibagi dalam 4 kelompok, yaitu Kontrol, P1 (buah naga 1 cc/hari selama 24 hari), P2 (siproteron asetat 2 mg/hari selama 7 hari), dan P3 (buah naga 1 cc/hari selama 24 hari kemudian siproteron asetat 2 mg/hari selama 7 hari). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa presentase motilitas spermatozoa pada K: 57,99±8,36%; P1: 90,33±10,88%; P2: 57,33±31,32%; P3: 77,00±11,44% (P1 paling tinggi), dan jumlah spermatozoa pada K: 44,40±10,04 juta/ml; P1: 70,80±25,95 juta/ml; P2: 48,58±23,58 juta/ml; P3: 29,40±18,96 juta/ml. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah pemberian suplemen jus buah naga memberikan efek protektif pada motilitas tapi tidak pada jumlah spermatozoa tikus putih jantan dewasa yang diinduksi siproteron asetat. Infertility in men can be prevented by consuming fruits with antioxidant, like white dragon fruit. One of the strongest drugs which can induce infertility in men is cyproterone acetate. The purpose of this investigation was knowing the protective effect of white dragon fruit (Hylocereus undatus) juice to motility and quantity of spermatozoa of adult male white rats (Rattus norvegicus) strain Sprague dawley inducted by cyproterone acetate. The investigation is an experimental research done in September until November for 31 days of treatment using 24 adult male white rats that were divided into 4 groups, namely Control, P1 (dragon fruit for 24 days), P2 (cyproterone acetate for 7 days), and P3 (dragon fruit for 24 days then cyproterone acetate for 7 days). The results showed that percentage of sperm motility in K: 57,99±8,36%; P1: 90,33±10,88%; P2: 57,33±31,32%; P3: 77,00±11,44% (P1 is the highest), and sperm quantity in K: 44,40±10,04 million/ml; P1: 70,80±25,95 million/ml; P2: 48,58±23,58 million/ml; P3: 29,40±18,96 million/ml. The conclusion of this investigation is white dragon fruits can protect the motility but not the quantity of spermatozoa of adult male white rats which are induced by cyproterone acetate.
