Abstract
ABSTRAK Resistensi bakteri adalah kemampuan bakteri untuk tumbuh dalam antimikroba yang secara normal dapat membunuh atau menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri tersebut. Intensive Care Unit (ICU) memiliki angka resistensi lebih tinggi dari pelayanan rumah sakit lainnya. Pada Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) hampir setiap pasien diberikan antibiotik sebagai terapi empiris. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk melihat perbedaan pola resistensi bakteri pada ICU dan PICU. Metode penelitian ini adalah analitik observasional dengan pendekatan crosssectional.Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh data rekam medis di ICU dan PICU dengan penyakit infeksi. Didapatkan total 65 sampel yang diambil dari seluruh data rekam medis di ICU dan PICU dari Januari 2013 hingga Desember 2014 dengan metode total sampling. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa angka resistensi di PICU (32,6%) lebih rendah dibandingkan dengan di ICU (67,4%). Dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara pola resistensi bakteri di Intensive Care Unit dan Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (p=0003) Rumah Sakit Abdul Moeloek dari Januari 2013 hingga Desember 2014. Kata kunci: resistensi bakteri, antimikroba, bakteri, infeksi, ruang rawat intensif, ruang rawat intensif anak ABSTRACT Bacterial resistance is capability of bacteria to grow in antimicrobial condition that normally can kill or decrease its growth. Intensive Care Unit (ICU) has antimicrobial resistance rate several times higher than in general hospital setting. In Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) almost every patient was given antimicrobial as empirical therapy. The aim of this study was to determine the difference of bacterial resistance pattern between ICU and PICU. The method was analytic observational with cross sectional approach. Population in this study were all medical records in ICU and PICU with bacterial infection disease. There were 65 samples taken from all medical records in ICU and PICU with bacterial infection disease from January 2013 to December 2014 with total sampling technique. The result of the study shows that the percentage of resistance were 67,4% in ICU and 32,6% in PICU. It can be concluded that there was significant difference between bacterial resistance pattern in Intensive Care Unit and Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (p= 0,003) at Abdul Moeloek General Hospital from Januari 2013 to December 2014.
