Abstrak (Berisi Bastraknya saja, Judul dan Nama Tidak Boleh di Masukan)
ABSTRAK Perguruan tinggi merupakan jenjang pendidikan tertinggi, mencakup pendidikan diploma, sarjana, magister, spesialis dan doktor yang dihasilkan oleh perguruan tinggi. Mahasiswa merupakan individu yang sedang menuntut ilmu di Perguruan Tinggi. Mahasiswa kedokteran pada jenjang pendidikan sarjana seringkali mengalami banyak tekanan dan masalah. Salah satu solusi untuk menyelesaikan masalah mahasiswa kedokteran, terutama masalah akademik, adalah dengan konsultasi kepada Dosen Pembimbing Akademik (PA). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui persepsi mahasiswa dan dosen terhadap peranan Dosen Pembimbing Akademik di Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Lampung Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan metode fenomenologi. Tehnik pengambilan data dilakukan dengan metode in depth interview dan Focus Group Discussion (FGD).Subjek penelitian sebanyak 24 orang terdiri atas 5 orang dosen dan 19 orang mahsiswa.penelitian dilaksanankan pada bulan Desmber 2015 – Januari 2016 di Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Lampung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa frekuensi bimbingan akademik mahasiswa dengan Dosen PA cukup baik. Peranan dosen PA selama ini di Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Lampung menurut persepsi mahasiswa dan dosen sebagian besar hanya sebatas formalitas dan pemberi validasi bagi dokumen yang dibutuhkan mahasiswa. Sedangkan peranan Dosen PA yang seharusnya menurut mahasiswa dan dosen adalah sebagai konselor, evaluator dan motivator. Hambatan paling besar dalam melaksanakan proses Bimbingan Akademik adalah kesibukan dan persepsi yang salah. Saran untuk para dosen PA dan mahasiswa adalah memperbaiki komunikasi dan diharapkan peranan aktif dari kedua belah pihak. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah proses konsultasi akademik masih belum berjalan secara optimal. Kata kunci: dosen pembimbing akademik, komunikasi, konselor, motivator, peran aktif, persepsi. Students are individuals who are studying at university. Medical students at the bachelor's level of education is often a lot of pressure and problems. One solution to solve the problem of medical students, especially academic problems is by consulting with the Academic advisor. The purpose of this study was to determine the perception of the role of students and faculty Academic Supervisor at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Lampung This research is a qualitative descriptive study with phenomenological method. The technique of data collection was conducted using in -depth interviews and Focus Group Discussion. Research subject as many as 24 people consisting of 5 lecturers and 19 students. Research be held in December 2015 - January 2016 at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Lampung The results showed that the frequency of students' academic guidance with PA Lecturer pretty well. The role of the academic advisor during the academic in the Faculty of Medicine, University of Lampung according to the perception of students and faculty mostly just a mere formality and provider validation documents required for students. While the role of the academic academic advisor who should by students and lectureres is as a counselor, evaluator and motivator. A major obstacle in implementing the Academic Guidance is busyness and a wrong perception. Suggestions for the academic advising and the student is expected to improve communication and active role of the two sides. The conclusion of this study is the academic advising process is still not running optimally. Keyword: academic advisor, active role, communicator, conunselor, motivator, perception.
