ABSTRACT THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN DURATION OF HEMODIALYSIS AND COGNITIVE FUNCTION CHRONIC KIDNEY DISEASE PATIENT IN HEMODIALYSIS AT RSUD ABDUL MOELOEK PROVINCE LAMPUNG By IMELDA HERMAN Hemodialysis is one of the renal replacement therapy in patients with chronic kidney disease. The prevalence of cognitive impairment has been widely reported in patient with chronic kidney disease (CKD). There are various factors that contribute to the incidence of cognitive impairment in patient with chronic kidney disease. The aim of this research is to determine about relationship of duration hemodialysis with cognitive function. This study is an analytic study with cross sectional design in October-December 2015 in Hospital Abdul Moeloek with a sample of 50 people were taken by consecutive sampling. Research using Mini Mental State Examination (MMSE) Data were analyzed by Spearman test. The results of this study, duration of hemodialysis patient who undergoig hemodialysis <6 month is 27%, 6-12 month is 47,3%, and >12 bulan is 25,7%.. Normal cognitive function 62,2%, mild intellectual impairment 33,8%, and moderate intellectual impairment 4%. The relationship between the duration of hemodialysis and cognitive function was obtained p=0.001, which means there is a correlation between the two variables tested. 0.371 correlation strength values (r = 0.371), which means that the strength of these correlations have a weak correlation and positive correlation direction. In conclusion, there is a relationship between duration of hemodialysis and cognitive function patient with chronic kidney disease who undergo hemodialysis hospital Abdul Moeloek. ABSTRAK HUBUNGAN LAMA HEMODIALISIS DENGAN FUNGSI KOGNITIF PASIEN PENYAKIT GINJAL KRONIK YANG MENJALANI HEMODIALISIS DI RSUD ABDUL MOELOEK PROVINSI LAMPUNG Oleh IMELDA HERMAN Hemodialisis merupakan terapi pengganti ginjal pada penyakit ginjal kronik. Prevalensi gangguan kognitif telah banyak dilaporkan pada pasien dengan penyakit ginjal kronik. Terdapat berbagai faktor yang berkontribusi terhadap kejadian gangguan kognitif pada pasien penyakit ginjal kronik. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui hubungan lama hemodialisis dengan fungsi kognitif. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian analitik dengan desain cross sectional pada bulan Oktober-Desember 2015 di RSUD Abdul Moeloek dengan sampel sebanyak 74 orang yang diambil dengan cara consecutive sampling. Penelitian melakukan wawancara dan menggunakan kuisioner Mini Mental State Examination. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan uji spearman. Hasil penelitian ini didapatkan periode lama hemodialisis pada pasien yang menjalani hemodialisis <6 bulan sebanyak 27%, 6-12 bulan sebanyak 47,3%, dan >12 bulan sebanyak 25,7%. Fungsi kognitif normal 62,2%, gangguan kognitif ringan 33,8%, dan sedang 4%. Hubungan antara lama hemodialisis dan fungsi kognitif didapatkan p=0,001 yang berarti terdapat korelasi antara kedua variabel yang diuji. Nilai kekuatan korelasi 0,371 (r=0,371) yang berarti kekuatan korelasi tersebut memiliki korelasi lemah dan arah korelasinya positif. Simpulan, terdapat hubungan lama hemodialisis dengan fungsi kognitif pasien penyakit ginjal kronik yang menjalani hemodialisis RSUD Abdul Moeloek Bandar Lampung. Kata kunci : hemodialisis, fungsi kognitif, penyakit ginjal kronik.
