Abstrak

ABSTRAK Kresna Shifa Usodri Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui : (1) pengaruh klon, paclobutrazol, dan lokasi terhadap pembungaan ubi kayu, (2) perbedaan pertumbuhan vegetatif dan generatif ubi kayu pada dua lokasi yang berbeda, (3) interaksi antara lokasi x klon x paclobutrazol terhadap pembungaan ubi kayu, dan (4) perbedaan efektifitas persilangan masing-masing kombinasi persilangan dari beberapa klon ubi kayu. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Kebun Percobaan Unila di Natar, Lampung Selatan dan Balai Benih Induk Sekincau, Lampung Barat sejak bulan November 2014 sampai Oktober 2015. Penelitian terdiri atas dua percobaan yang saling berkaitan yaitu induksi pembungaan dan efektivitas persilangan. Percobaan induksi pembungaan menggunakan rancangan analisis gabungan Split-plot dengan petak utama berupa 6 klon ubi kayu UJ3, Kasetsart Ungu, UJ5, Cimanggu, Malang-6, dan BL-2 dan anak petak berupa perlakuan paclobutrazol konsentrasi 0 mg/l dan 500 mg/l yang diulang sebanyak 3 kali. Percobaan efektivitas persilangan terdiri dari beberapa kombinasi persilangan ubi kayu. Kombinasi persilangan ubi kayu adalah : BL-2 x UJ3; Malang x Kasetsart ungu; Cimanggu x UJ5; UJ3 x BL-2; Kasetsart ungu x Malang; UJ5 x Cimanggu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa seluruh klon memiliki waktu munculnya cabang reproduktif dan kuncup bunga yang tidak berbeda nyata antar lokasi; kecuali pada klon Cimanggu yang memiliki waktu munculnya cabang reproduktif dan kuncup bunga di lokasi Natar 1,67 mst lebih singkat daripada lokasi Sekincau selama 35 mst. Klon Kasetsart Ungu dengan paclobutrazol 500 mg/l menghasilkan rata-rata jumlah bunga jantan per tanaman lebih banyak dari klon lainnya di lokasi Sekincau yaitu 95,33; sedangkan klon BL-2 dengan paclobutrazol 500 mg/l menghasilkan rata-rata jumlah bunga jantan per tanaman lebih banyak dari klon lainnya di lokasi Natar yaitu 41,33 pada 35 mst. Seluruh klon menghasilkan menghasilkan rata – rata jumlah bunga betina per tanaman lebih banyak di lokasi Sekincau daripada lokasi Natar baik dengan pemberian paclobutrazol 0 mg/l maupun 500 mg/l pada 35 mst. Klon ubi kayu menghasilkan 10,5 - 21,21 buah lebih banyak di lokasi Sekincau daripada lokasi Natar baik dengan pemberian paclobutrazol 0 mg/l maupun 500 mg/l pada 35 mst. Kombinasi persilangan klon BL-2 x UJ3 di lokasi Sekincau menghasilkan buah lebih banyak yaitu 41 buah dengan persentase buah terbentuk 60,29. Kata kunci : Induksi, pembungaan, persilangan, klon, ubi kayu ABSTRACT The objectives of this research were to find out: (1) influences of clone, paclobutrazol, and location to the cassava flowering; (2) differences of vegetative and generative growths of cassava in two different locations; (3) interactions of location x clone x paclobutrazol to cassava flowering; and (4) effectiveness differences of crossbreeding of each crossbreed combination from some cassava clones. This research was conducted in Unila experiment garden in Natar of South Lampung and the Sekincau Seedling Installation in West Lampung from November 2014 to October 2015. This research contained of two mutually related experiments; the flower induction and crossbreeding effectiveness. The flower induction experiment used split-plot combined analysis with main plots in forms of 6 cassava clones of UJ3, purple Kasetsart, UJ5, Cimanggu, Malang-6 and BL-2, and cub-plots for paclobutrazol treatments with concentrations of 0 mg/l and 500 mg/l which were repeated tree times. The cassava crossbreeding effectiveness experiment contained of : BL-2 x UJ3; Malang x Purple Kasetsart; Cimanggu x UJ5; UJ3 x BL-2; Purple Kasetsart x Malang; UJ5 x Cimanggu. The results showed that all clones showed reproductive branch grwoth and flower bud times which were not significantly different between locations; except for Cimanggu clone which had 1.67 weeks after planting shorter time of reproductive branch growth and flower bud in Natar location compared to Sekincau location during 35 weeks after planting. Purple Kasetsart clone with paclobutrazol 500 mg/l produced averagely 95.33 male flowers and this was a bigger amount than other clones in Sekincau location. BL-2 clone with paclobutrazol 500 mg/l produced averagely 41.33 male flowers for each plant at 35 weeks after planting and his was a bigger amount compared to other clones in Natar location. All clones in Sekincau location averagely produced more female flowers for each plant than in Natar location both with treatments of paclobutrazol 0 mg/l and 500 mg/l at 35 weeks after planting. Cassava clones in Sekincau location produced 10.5 to 21.21 cassava fruits more than Natar location with both treatments of paclobutrazol 0 mg/l and 500 mg/l at 35 weeks after planting. The crossbreeding of BL-2 x UJ3 in Sekincau location produced more cassava fruits (41 fruits) with percentage of formed fruits was 60.29.
